I know very little about this character, other than what I've read on wikipedia. The first time I've ever heard of him was when I played Marvel Ultimate Alliance on my 360. The character looks hardcore and I really liked playing as him in the game. But I was wondering what everyone else here though of the character and his books. Is he worth reading? Are there any good graphic novels about him?

Discuss.

That was a great series. I loved the whole "three secret identities" thing.

I liked the later "Marc Spector: Moon Knight" series, too- at least, the earlier issues. Wasn't as good as the first series, but good, anyway.

People often think of Moon Knight as pretty much a Batman clone, but he was originally created as an enemy for the Werewolf in the old WEREWOLF BY NIGHT series. He was designed around the idea that silver, which is often associated with the Moon, is also deadly to werewolves- they can in a sense be killed by the very thing that empowers them, more or less. Moon Knight originally wore silver spikes on his fists, to make him a more dangerous opponent for a werewolf. It was only later that he became more Batman-y.
Fear the "A"!!!

I was really into his recent ongoing too. I would love ot see a Jason Aaron penned Moon Knight/Ghost Rider team-up.

Moon Knight for me is more like an insane Batman, like from Zuhr-En-Arr or something.  I really like how he's both awesome and kind of parodied in games like Web of Shadows or MUA.

Moon Knight is a batman clone, but he is so unique at the same time. When the character was well written (like currently and in most of his 1st and second volumes)  he a mercenary who was given a second chance at life, and in true former operative manner he uses many false identities to get the things he needs.  However, Marc becomes unstable and is eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder.  The roles he plays begin turning themselves on and off leading to interesting interactions with his compatriots and enemies alike.

The most recent volume is very good, it plays on the past of moon knight, but also lets new people come on board very easily.  If you like you vigilantes grim, gritty, and unhinged, while at the same time seeking redemption for his past then moon knight is definite must read.
At the end of the day all that matter is that I tried, right?
