I think I figured out Lost

After watching tonight's episode and picking up some new clues, here is my theory...
Spoiler
Evil Locke explained to Sawyer that he and the others were potential candidates to become the new Jacob. The way that evil Locke is talking reminds me to much of a certain fallen angel. I believe that the island is the Garden of Eden. The man in black (evil Locke) is Lucifer and he is imprisoned in the very place he caused the fall of man. Jacob is the appointed guardian of the Garden. As the guardian he has authority over the Garden and over Lucifer. His job is to keep Lucifer in his prison and protect the world from him. With Jacob (the guardian) dead, Lucifer now has free reign over the island and is as Richard said, recruiting. He needs help to get free of his prison. Looks like Sawyer is going to the dark side.

*shrugs, throws the idea on the pile

So, in this interpretation, the plane crash would be...? And the bear?

by that theory, the plane crash would be a means to get the "candidates" to the island.

no idea on the bear.

?? Are the bears really still considered a mystery? Dharma brought them over to do experiments. Are we supposed to be expecting a better answer?

I'm really depending a lot on this show ending well. It's really amazing in every way and original and it really gets in your head. Introducing so many mysteries in the fairly short final season leaves me worried that I won't get a satisfying answer to many of the questions I've had for a long time. So far this season has been introducing two mysteries for every one it solves and has been surprisingly mild and boring. But I've got so much excitement and tension built up and I enjoy this show so extremely. I just have this mental image of the writers being at conventions answering an endless stream of angry fans' questions with "A wizard did it." for the rest of their lives.
I also prefer the sci-fi aspects but I guess those are mostly done with now. The island is definitely magic, there's not going to be a sweet fake science answer.
I miss Daniel so much and I demand to see more of Desmond. They're by far the best characters and really propelled the show from "really awesome" to "zOMG best thing ever". Desmond was so cool and all my favorite episodes are ones where he's time traveling or even having flashbacks.

Anyway, I have a feeling more and more mystery's will be revealed and the answers will at least be enough to keep the show at the level of awesomeness it's pretty much maintained except when Michelle Rodriguez basically ruined season 2.
I apologize in advance for everything I say on here. I regret it immediately after clicking post.

My gf's a huge fan of Lost.  Like I told her, I'll pass along to you guys... be prepared for HUGE disappointment.

How many drama series have actually ended and did so keeping the fans happy???

Shoulda' seen how po'ed my gal was with the series finale of Kyle XY.  This is going to be much, much worse.  I predict this phrase being echoe'd many a time "What?  That's it?"

I also miss Daniel, he became probably my favorite character last season. He's back for "multiple episodes" this season but I suspect they're all in the flash sideways. Hopefully it's an important appearance.

About Desmond, I'm not expecting him to show up too much this year. He was originally billed as a supporting character this season but in the actual episodes is a main character so I expect he's only on light duty for most of the season. At least he's still in it.

But Kyle XY was abruptly cancelled. It didn't get a chance to end properly.
