Texture not showing?

I found a really good alligator mesh, chopped off the head and added it to my leatherhead skope, the only thing is it wont show the texture, now im shocked i managed to create an obj file in blender at all but this next part is beyond me.
Im willing to send the skope to anybody who can help out.

outside of blender, have you tried adding a TextureProperty to it in NifSkope?

How would i go about doing that?

If you right-click on the part, you should see Node > Attach Property.

You're looking to add "NiTexturingProperty"

After that, right-click on the new NiTexturingProperty and select "Texture > Add Base Texture"

See if that works for you.

Does the mesh component have a UV map to it?
