Wow, yeah, that works.

Preeeety deadpooly, but I liked the action and found the seatbelt moment to be a good example of funny action.

Thanks, Jey!

Video looks good!  Deadpool looks good!  Not how I would have wanted to imagine him, but exactly how he is!  A deadpool movie would KILL!

I notice that in the commercials, Deadpool breaks the 4th wall, but they said that he won't be doing that in the movie, too bad, I liked the way he did it.  It wasn't so obvious

WHO said they will be not breaking the 4th Wall?! Cause THAT's been serious contested between various people in production.. some say it's just for the advertising and there are those say he will do it within the movie but various amount depending on who you ask. Hell, If Ferris Bueller can do it IN his movie.. They can have Deadpool do it in his.

I hope he does break the fourth wall; it's one of the many charms of the character. That's a good point about Ferris Bueller. Edward Norton and Brad Pit in Fight Club also kinda break the fourth wall.

Gotta say, based on the trailers, costume, and Reynolds as Deadpool, this movie looks like a hoot. I'm looking forward to finding out if the final product is as good as the trailers.

Apparently Fox surprised fan at a couple of conventions by holding movie events promising new footage from the film, and then playing the entire movie for free instead.

Sounds like those in attendance enjoyed it.

About breaking the 4th wall:

I believe it was at comicbook.com or Fox that said that Deadpool will break the 4th wall, but Wade Wilson will not.  It make sense to me.

Newest clip, in which deadpool comments on a common superhero troop.  Squees out over getting to see it in person, would be more accurate.

Due to the content, I won't actually be watching the full movie, but admittedly the humor looks good and I expect Deadpool fans will probably like this film.

The movie was...bipolar.While it follows a standard formula for an origin story, sometimes it goes full "Scary movie" with it.Jokes feel like they were stolen from an open mic night in 1995.But Reynolds does make most of them  tolerable. Also a lot of swearing, gore and some nudity.
Its okay, but dont expect too much;thats my final verdict.

Yeah... I'm thinking about the entire world disagrees with you there, Spade.

While I'm sure plenty can nitpik about this and about that, overall, this movie was very much what everyone thought a Deadpool movie would be.  The movie was actually far better than I expected.  I expected it to be good, a good popcorn flick, but it hit every note.

Let's see how Deadpool is trending right this second... 84% Critic Rating and 96% Audience Rating on Rotten Tomatoes (which is THE RATING SITE right now).. yeah, I'm thinking that it shot for the moon and just landed somewhere around Pluto for expectations (some folks think they hit the bullseye and other think they went over to top). FOX's rebooted Fantastic Four WISHED it had the level of hold on to your seat level of FUN this film had and faith they could pull it off without upper management stepping in to "fix" what wasn't broken. Sure it's not a tour de force of cinema but when you have a B maybe C+ level plot but then turn up the level of meta and self awareness humor then you get exactly what Deadpool should be on the big screen. Hell, They darn near have a neon sign hovering over this film with the MST3K mantra on it.. "It's just a movie stop looking for nitpicks and flaws just relax and have fun". They knew it had plot holes and a open mic level sense of humor but what's funny for you may not be funny for someone else so they just filled the movie with all kinds of humor and easter eggs which just makes it get better and better during repeat viewings.

FOX is VERY aware that even their X-Men Franchise will NEVER reach the level of Feige's Marvel Cinematic Universe for quite awhile.. so they are going to have a hell of a lot of fun trying to world build along the way after Days Of Future Past cleaned up the slate.

I saw Deadpool this morning and it was good.  I know there are a lot of people out there screaming that it was the best superhero movie out there, but it wasn't in my opinion.  I thought that it was great and it's up there with Guardians of the Galaxy meaning that you can have a fun superhero/ comedy movie.  I will definitely be picking this up when it comes out on Blu-ray to add to my collection.

Just to add: I hope this movie makes a lot of money, because of what you guys told me before about how Ryan fought tooth and nail to have this movie made.  You can really see that he put his heart and soul into making this movie

BWPS

It's making a ton of money, I expect they'll start on the sequel soon.

I loved it, it was immature and gross and creepy in the best of ways. The action was top notch and the dialogue was well written and acted to make for a great comedy that took itself the right amount of serious. The plot was an origin story that wasn't great, but it was full of awesome moments and never felt boring. I was surprised at how well it was done, I expected it to be kinda lame.
I apologize in advance for everything I say on here. I regret it immediately after clicking post.

stumpy

I liked it. It was pretty much the perfect tone for a Deadpool movie. They kept plenty of 4th wall shenanigans, but it didn't pull me out of the movie. And, though there was some graphic content, it seemed to fit the tone. However, my gf sent her brother a text that this is not an appropriate movie for her young nephews and I would have to agree with that.

BTW, I don't follow Deadpool in the comics, so I can't say whether it made sense that the X-Men were trying to recruit him or if that was just a way for the studio to leverage its other Marvel assets with a little name dropping. I am a bit meh on the idea of Cable being in the sequel, but almost everyone in the theater LOLed at the Ferris Bueller homage in the post-credits piece.

Actually, its usually Deadpool whos trying to join the X-men,but they reject him because hes not a mutant. And because hes Deadpool.
But he was a member of the X-force during Uncanny X-force.So its not just the movie.
