In regards to TNA, I really am not the fanbase that tunes in every week anymore, I do enjoy the Gut Check though, I think it's an innovative way of bringing in new talent to the roster. I'm just tired of the repetition that the Aces and Eights brings to the game. It's been going on for a long time and I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. I also think that they need a larger women's roster to diversify the matches a bit.

In regards to WWE's women's roster, seeing Natalya reduced to being Khali's arm candy is just kind of insulting. As you said, she's legacy talent, with an emphasis on the talent part. I guess I just want to see the women's division return to the strength that it held with the likes of Lita and Trish. In regards to Ryback, his marching shell shocked really isn't a powerful finisher considering the dominance that he's been given, like was stated before, he's a poor man's Goldberg who could be much more. I'd actually like to see the match with Mark Henry though, it looks like it might be entertaining. I never order the PPV's, but Wrestlemania seems to have a decent card going in. I'm assuming that the Rock is going to lose his title to Cena since he hasn't actually been actively competing, and I'm really hoping that it's not CM Punk that breaks the Undertaker's streak.

thalaw2

I also don't wanna see CM Punk break the streak.  Speaking strictly as a fan with no ties to the business I don't think CM deserves to break the streak.

Hell, you guys are griping about how bad WWE and TNA are...you should look up Ring of Honor Wrestling...now there's some bad wrestling and all!  Horrid, horrid stuff!

Never heard ot the ROH promotion before, but looking it up, there are actually a few familiar names there, been wondering where Matt Hardy went.

Nope.  Sadly, a lot of my interest in pro-wrestling has been diminishing in recently years.

GhostMachine

I'm not too interested, either. Its too obvious the streak will continue, because there would be too much outrage if `Taker lost to someone who is disrespecting the memory of Paul Bearer. And none of the other matches on the card look all that appealing.

TNA's booking has gone south again. The Aces & Eights reveal was disappointing, and the whole lead up doesn't make any sense unless the eventual payoff is Hogan wrestling again. And by `wrestling', I don't mean doing a tag match where he tags in, throws one punch and tags back out. Problem is he's too physically wrecked to actually wrestle and doing the Leg Drop (aka the greatest finisher in the history of pro wrestling) is an outright no-no.

In addition to Ring Of Honor, which Cyber Burn mentioned, I'd advise checking out Chikara Pro. The gimmicks are fun (and sometimes outright goofy), but the wrestling is good.

And take it for what its worth, but it looks like Kharma may be returning to the WWE. She's been wrestling again as Awesome Kong (lost to Eddie Kingston at a Chikara show recently, in fact), and apparently the WWE has  trademarked the Kharma name. Personally, I'm hoping she returns at Wrestlemania and destroys whoever the Divas champion is then.

Yeah, they got Hardy along with Rhino, Charlie Hass and Shelton Benjamin...and a few other former WWE stars that disappeared but the whole thing is so sad.  I mean, instead of fireworks they have what little crowd that attends the matches throw colored toilet paper into the ring.  Sad...sad...sad....

For those that want to know what's going on in ROH, seems next week every match they have on the card is some type of specialty match...something about ROH versus SCUM...haven't followed it enough to know what the storyline is but it's seems like SCUM members are ROH wrestlers who've forsaken the honour or some such.

Hmmm, it seems that I can't actually find ROH on TV, bummer.

But I did find CWFH Wrestling, very cheesey, I couldn't watch it very long.

Also found reruns of AWA Wrestling on ESPN Classic (I think), it had some old school Sgt. Slaughter.

Cyber Burn

Seriously??? Fandango gets a debut match at Wrestlemania??? How does he rate a Wrestlemania slot over all the guys who have already put in their dues with the WWE??? Did I miss something???

thalaw2

I don't even think I want to see Fandango wrestle.  The guy needs to be repackaged.

ROH comes on extremely late where I'm at...like 11:30 pm...it wasn't listed in the schedule, I just happened upon in one Saturday night.

No. He needs to be released. Fandango is Johnny Curtis, who won the fourth season of NXT, appeared in some dark matches for the Smackdown brand on tv a few times, then went back to NXT after that. I don't think he's ever going to be able to get over, so he needs to be put into a tag team, transitioned into a jobber, or future endeavored.

Him wrestling Jericho at Wrestlemania is a joke.....unless its a squash by Jericho that's about as fast as when Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan for the championship, then Fandango is told to go go (aka fired).

Cyber Burn

Well, I've been watching WWE a bit here and there, Bray Wyatt and his cronies were finally introduced after quite a long period of promotion. Basically it just seems that there's another three man group (Along with the Shield and 3MB) who are around with no real purpose other than to target  and beat on other characters. I'm really hoping that these multiple 3-Man teams don't lead to the introduction of a 3 person Tag Team Championship Belt.

I also checked out the premiere of E's "WWE Total Divas", it was alright, kind of interesting to see the behind the scenes look at some of the WWE life.

In regards to TNA, I'm not watching a lot, but:

Spoiler
I'm not liking the direction that Mickie James has taken, I'm alright with her turning heel, but she just comes across as being really overly dramatic to the point where I really don't care who takes the title from her, just as long as she's no longer the center of attention. Chris Sabin winning the TNA World Heavyweight Title was a joke, I'm glad that Bully Ray no longer has it, because I am bored with the Aces and Eights (And now the Main Event Mafia), but one lucky shot with a hammer to the head after getting tossed around like a rag doll the entire match? I really don't think that he could , or should, keep the Title for long, I am really hoping that after the BFG Series, he loses the Title, if not sooner.

Amazo Version 2.2

you know, i consider myself a sporadic wrestling fan at best, but i have to say that im a bit disapointed with wwe right now. they have the big "antibully" push going on , and then theyre glorifying ryback as a bully. wth?
For anyone, and everyone, who has ever done anything to improve the FF/FFvs3R gaming experience, I want to say thank you. Life is so short, and you have all brought me so much joy. I hope that one day, I am somehow able to return the kindness and generosity that all of you have shown.

He needs to be sent in a new direction at the very least, as was stated before, he's a poor man's Goldberg with really nothing unique to offer to the medium.

thalaw2

I'm liking WWE Total Divas.  I always enjoy fake reality shows as I never could stand real ones.  The last time I enjoyed a reality show was Joe Schmo.  TD is a good behinds the scenes look at WWE complete with some of the over the top drama that we've all come to love from wrestling.  The fakeness of it all makes it really entertaining...so does looking at all the divas.

Cyber Burn

Oh WWE, what the heck are you thinking...Paul Heyman proposes to Ryback? Seriously?

Cyber Burn

OK, I've gone back to just watching WWE and TNA shows sporadically, but I'm really starting to get bored with them. I grew up watching these larger than life characters, who have been replaced by a bunch of guys who are really boring to watch. Not to mention the fact that the storylines for both companies are pretty much the same right now, there's no real variety. The women's division for both companies has sunk again, at least in my opinion. I liked WWE's Kaitlyn, and TNA's Taryn Tarrell, so I'm a bit disappointed that Kaitlyn is leaving the WWE, and that Taryn has been absent for quite some time. And lastly, TNA's roster just keeps shrinking and shrinking, disappointing.

I am curious though, I did like AJ Styles, does anyone know what the deal is with him? Is he staying with TNA, or will he be leaving?

Cyber Burn

With WrestleMania coming up, I figured I would check out the current events in WWE to see who doing what for it.

Hall of Fame Inductees:

So far, we have:

Spoiler

Ultimate Warrior
Jake the Snake Roberts
Lite (A Personal favorite)
Paul Bearer

As far as matches go the only two that I know of so far, are:

Spoiler
Batista vs Randy Orton
Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar

Spoiler
I've always been an Undertaker fan, but he's getting up there in years, I'm concerned that he may not be able to match the physicality of Brock Lesnar. That said, I'm really hoping Lesnar's not the one to break Undertaker's WrestleMania streak.

I heard something completely different... supposedly he's going to be wrestling shirtless, but I suspect he'll come in wearing the Arrow gear for the spectacle.

And Stephen won.Who knew,right?

Well his partner did that insane jump off the turnbuckle and pinned the guy, but it was a pretty good showing. Don't see too many other celebrities doing a la plancha like that.
