Not 100% sure this is true, but looks like that are going with a more darker story line like the old comics.

The Hitman

Remake = Yes. That mask = Not really. The article you posted actually updated to say that the mask was a fan-made costume piece.

Last I heard, there will be a remake sometime soon, it'll be a little bit darker, and they're using the "Where the Wild Things Are" effects on it, aka guys in suits with CGI heads.

Swear to god these reboots are pissing me off.
TMNT was AWESOME. I wasn't allowed to watch the cartoon or old movies so I wasn't really a fan, but that whole movie was really great and I was eagerly awaiting a sequel. And it was really serious which is pretty impressive considering it is an animated movie about TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. Now the geniuses decide that a MORE serious live action version is the way to go. Bah I say. There's no way this tops TMNT and it'll probably just end up being creepy.
I apologize in advance for everything I say on here. I regret it immediately after clicking post.

it's fake and other sites have proved it

I have heard that warner bros wants to do something due to the flop that the cgi movie was. Do i think a more serious plot would be good? It could be. You can still have a serious tone with great comedy,i do however think that the turtles do need to actually look like turtles again, not just frogs with shells. I love the old look, but itd be so nice for them to look   little more realistic(after all, we do want the face to be discernible).

TMNT was NOT a flop.  I have no idea how you got that idea.  It made three times what it cost and was the first movie to beat out 300 in the box office.  It totals are not spectacular--just under 100 mil, but its budget was very small, so it still made a sizable profit.

 I'm sorry, i didn't mean a box office flop, but ironically enough I actually did not know it had made such a splash. I had read/have been told that fans were extremely disappointed by it. I do suppose that makes little sense given the amount of money it made... hmm.

Fans were disappointed in it?!  Which fans?  I've heard NOTHING but absolute, unrepentant praise for that movie....which it totally deserves.

Everyone I've talked to hated it: Big fans of the originals were extremely disappointed. I thought it was good, but not the quality of the originals. Then again, just what i have heard from friends. Like i said, i liked the film alot. I just want a new live action one that is better than the animated one.

I liked the CGI film, I should watch it again don't remember it well.

I've got to problem with a remake, I was a fan of the original show and movies but the 4Kids one was great too. I'm usually open to new interpretations. I'm just surprised this film reboot is still going through considering TMNT was sold earlier this year.
