Wow. That's one hell of a track list. Too bad I'll have a longer wait for the PS3 edition. :(

Previsionary

If I remember correctly, they announced at e3 that most of the old songs from Rock Band 1 would be compatible with Rock Band 2 and, by the end of the year, they hope to have 500 songs available for Rock Band 2. So, more than likely your favorite song will end up in the game.

BWPS

Here's what songs I think are cool, it probably won't matter because I probably won't want this enough to pay the high price.

AFI: "Girl's Gone Grey"
No such song exists... weird. If they meant to say "Girl's Not Grey", that's probably the first or second best song on the whole list, awesome!

Duran Duran: "Hungry Like the Wolf"
Sexy!

Foo Fighters: "Everlong"
This is a great addition, probably the best song!

Jimmy Eat World: "The Middle"
Good song, but I can think of ten JEW songs I'd rather see.

Journey: "Anyway You Want It"
I wrote this song and Journey somehow went back in time and stole it, however it is a good song and they perform it better than I could. I think a Journey edition of Guitar Hero would be cool.

Motorhead: "Ace of Spades"
This is by far the worst song ever recorded in the history of so-called music, but it's a major selling point for my shenanigans.

Nirvana: "Drain You"
Probably the best Nirvana song ever just because of the first three seconds of singing.

Paramore: "That's What You Get"
There are some WAY better choices from Paramore... it's a good song but how much cooler would Misery Business have been.

The Who: "Pinball Wizard"
Now that's what I'm talkin 'bout!

Will the Wii get a heavily watered down version again? Because I might actually look into this otherwise.

Your memory serves you well.  All DLC for RB1 will work with RB2.  They've actually decided to make Rock Band a platform not a series of incompatible sequels (cough, cough...Guitar Hero).  And to add to the customer lovefest, they're coming up with a way to rip the songs from your RB1 game disc for use with RB2.  Yes, I'm a bit of a fanboy, but you got to love it when a company makes your investment in DLC payoff.  My big dilemna, is do I buy another $200 game bundle, or just pick up the game itself?  The new drums have velocity sensors and the option to add cymbals.
