Still Looking for Male Muscular Meshes for FFv3R

I have two Male Muscular meshes that act like they convert to FFv3R, but when I open them in Herotool there are no skins (not even standard) listed and the image is pink. If I try to access them through the character creation section they crash the game. They used to work in FF1.

They are:

Male Muscular Cape Folded Collar Boots
Male Muscular Cape Folded Collar

If anyone has successfully converted them, would you please send them to lonespaceranger@gmail.com?

Barring that, would you tell me how to convert them?

Previsionary

perhaps you should check if those meshes actually have skin folders with a standard skin folder as subfolders.

2 Thoughts
1) The male muscular series had its own naming scheme rather than male_cape.tga or male_basic.tga. It was usually male_muscular.tga or something along those lines like male_muscular_cape.tga.

2) Unconverted keyframes will cause crashes in some instances.

Previsonary: checked, double checked. They have standard folders, and there are files in them.

Yellow Lantern. I did notice a difference in nomenclature when I swapped some skin folders around to try and see what was going on.

I can look at Male Muscular Folded Collar in Charactertool1, but my graphics card doesn't like FF1 or CT1, and crashes CT if I look at the other one. I'm not sure what this indicates, since it also does that on Taskmaster and Taskmistress meshes (along with a bunch of others), and, while I have had some trouble converting those, it usually worked the second time around.

Has anyone else has trouble converting these files, or is it just me?

One thing I haven't tried is changing the skin files to dds. I'll do that an let you know.

(later) Changing to dds has made the folders visible in CT.

Cyber Burn

Try Tommyboy's Wonder Man_tvlite mesh. Just hide all the extra pieces and you have a killer Male_Muscular that uses male_basic skins.

Thanks to Previsionary, Yellow Lantern, and Cyber Burn. I have them working, but hey are still magenta. I am switching this over to the technical forum. I'd still like to know if anyone else has had trouble wiht these meshes.

Are the skins in tga or dds format?  My understanding of  :ffvstr: is limited but I know using tga causes at least intermittent magenta coloring; perhaps it is causing the more permanent magenta error as well.  If they are tga, you should switch to dds and that alone may fix your problem.  If they're dds already, I got nothin'.

Oh, and um, pretend all that above was in rhyme and filled with enigmatic comments and stuff.  More like:

If you're having a Magenta Mess, perhaps your files aren't dds.
Targa has been known to cause a thousand thousand purple flaws.

Did change to dds, and that fixed one problem: the skins now show up; in the skins list. The magenta forms now show up in the character creation section of the game, too.
