OK, first time posting, so I will start by thanking everyone in the community for helping make a fun game, unbelievably fun.  It amazes me how the work on these sites keeps FF fresh and new.

That said, this being a request thread, I do have one.

1.  has anyone ever made a liquid mesh for a water form character?

2.  If not I have a work-around I can use, but it too is beyond my meshing skills.  If someone could find a way of making the plasticman keyframes (Texas Jack's I believe) work with one of the translucent meshes, or conversely, making one of the plastic-man meshes translucent that would work.

I would try to do these things myself, but I'm afraid my meager skills stop at some light skinning.

this would be for  :ffvstr:

thanks, and keep up the great work

Hmmm...

Somewhere there is an explanation on how to turn the Alpha effect (or however you put it) on in a mesh. That would let you make the skin semi-transparent. I took C6's Metamorpho skin and put it on Male Basic Effects, Photoshopped it a little, and produced a watery-looking blue-tinted semi-transparent skin. I hadn't connected the possiblity of turning the Apha evffect on in TJ's Plastic man or seeing if Tommy's Mr. Fantastic meshes had that ability...

Another possibility would be doing something like that to one of the Sandman meshes, which should work really well for Hydroman (but there may be a skin for him on one of those meshes already....dunno).

Oh, man!

I alpha-enabled ALL the meshes in the Plastic Man Buff nif, and it looks fantastic with the water-form Metamorpho I did.

Now I HAVE to do a golden-age Hydroman, despite the silly shirt.

The head and hands show through on some of the animations, but I believe they won't be as noticiable in game.

I think Plastic Man Buff is a hex of Plastic Man TJ. Texas Jack is on the Nifscope permission list, but what about the hex of a mesh?

Thanks for the tips Daglob.  I've started making TJs old Plastic Man Mesh and it looks like that is going to work out almost perfect.  I may still check out the Sandman meshes but being able to make the mesh translucent is going to work great.

thanks for the help guys.
