NORVANDELL

Hello folks.

Since I am now half done with my sketch cards for Marvel Masterpieces II, I thought I'd have some time to take on a few commissions.

11x17 single character sketch.......20.00
11x17 above with inks ................30.00
11x17 above hand colored............40.00

8x10" single character..................10.00
8x10" above with inks...................20.00
8x10" above hand colored..............30.00

Characters can be any of your choice. If its a character of your own creation, then I need a model sheet emailed to me for reference.

All prices must include 5.00 for USPS priority shipping. Any overseas requests, must include global priority to that country. I will except ANY type of US money orders only, no personal checks. Art will be mailed out the day after payment is received.

Anyone who would like to see samples, please go to my DA page at... http://norvandell.deviantart.com
Also, requests can be emailed to me at BIG_BOOTE@HOTMAIL.COM

That's actually pretty cheap. I may take you up on that. :D

NORVANDELL

Its not just for the money, but for the people who want a cool piece of art. I want to make mine affordable, this way I can get more work and not come off acting like a jerk.

Sword

I'm certainly interested in this. what do you mean by Model Sheet?

NORVANDELL

If you have a character of your own, a model sheet is just a basic front pose and maybe a back and side, to help show other artists where to place gear, weapons, and generaly how the character looks in costume.

Sort of what the old handbooks of the Marvel Universe were.

Even if its just a basic drawing, I can take that and put something into it.

I can also work from skins as well.

Just a quick note....

My first set of cards for Marvel Masterpieces II were approved, so head on over to my DA page for a look.

Also, the 2up art that the cards are drawn from are up for grabs.

Mr. Hamrick

the link does work

and are we seriously able to advertise our services like this here?  I mean for pay and all.

Is it really any different than selling things through cafepress or Zapow and C6's Honor Brigade Comic?

NORVANDELL

Any takers yet?

I'll be finishing up some things with Marvel, so drop a line.

i thought that there had been a rule about it at some point.

if there isn't then you think i could put up a thread offering to buy a few well written short film scripts?

Pyroclasm

For some reason I thought there WAS a rule about overt commercial posts as well.  Seems like such a post could open up the forum to "spam".  I think there is a difference between posting a notice that one would like support in a project endeavor (i.e. Like when someone mentions their comic or another might mention their independent film project and asks that you visit their site) rather than listing a menu board.  I appreciate the desire to offer underpriced commissions to the community, but for me I'd rather see a plug for his site in his signature than to see a commercial posting.  What's next?  One of the forum members giving a price list for the widgets he/she sells?  Why is it different than someone making a post selling any other service or product?  And shouldn't a post about art go in the "Artist Alley" anyway?

PS: It's nothing personal against you, Norvendell.  You do some nice work.

Edit: Removed the Viagra/Amway reference since the subject of sale was NOT the question being raised.

B A D

The Lords of Olympus have spoken and have stated that there is nothing wrong with a well thought out post thats done in a tasteful manner in regards to selling something. That being said, I have girl scout cookies to get rid of.

Mr. Hamrick

maybe i am just use to being largely ignored when i shameless self-promote my work.

and about those Girl Scout cookies, BAD, are they made with real girl scouts?  (Thank you, Wednesday Addams)

NORVANDELL

Well, either way I'll leave alone at this point. I've posted what I posted because I thought after asking, that it was alright.

You all have my link.

UnfluffyBunny

comparing this to viagra spam is just rediculous, this is a comic forum, norvandell does comic art, thats why it's different, it's actually relevant to the forum.
this is far from the first time artists have used the forum to promote selling their work.
actually on topic... noticed you have a star wars interest... I may just have to hit you up for something along that line :)
