DC's Rorschach

I was wondering if anybody has made any hero files for this DC character, or has any creative ideas for him.   Mine seems kinda Blah:

He doesnt seem to carry any weapons but is very resourceful when by picking up what is ever near by and getting the job done. And thoughts on how to represent that?

Well, of course he is Alan Moore's take on The Question, so I would just duplicate those characteristics.

He does have that grappling hook gun, though. So maybe wallclimber. He used it once as a weapon also, so maybe a high cost, high powered, short range projectile. Either piercing or crushing.

You should give him stealth (was it the name of that attribute that renders you invisible until your opponents spot you?) to Rorschach, tracking (he is a great detective, after all) and an heroic point. Also, I think iron jaw is too much. He is not immune to pain; just very resistant to it. I usually only give iron jaw to beings such as the undead, since they can't feel any pain. Grim resolve should do the trick.

The stats are all nice and dandy. I only think you should give him one more point in energy. At least that's how I handle olympic level characters. I give them STR 3, SPD 4, AGI 4, END 4 and ENG 4. That's because I see energy as stamina. That's how I handle things:

ENG 1: Corpse
ENG 2: Out of shape
ENG 3: Healthy
ENG 4: Fit human
ENG 5: Peak human

But that goes from person to person.

Also, I'd give blitzkrieg instead of combat skill to Rorschach, or nothing at all, if you plan on giving him a ranged attack. That's because, as far as I remember, the damage from combat skill affects all kinds of attacks, since it works kind of like 300-percenter. Not sure, tho, and you may prefer it that way. I dunno if shake it off is appropriate. I wouldn't give it to him, personally.

As for other attacks, UnkoMan is right. Rorschach has a grappling hook that he uses to climb buildings (the wall-climbing attribute) and once used it as a weapon to great effect. I think he killed a cop with it. It'd probably be a short range, high magnitude, crushing damage projectile attack. It could inflict some stun and knockback, as well. I think he also uses some sort of spray, but I'm not sure.

I can't remember whether these are all attributes but: wall-climbing, acrobatic, loner.

Maybe give him some sort of short-range blinding attack.

Loner may or may not be a good idea. In one hand, Rorschach is not a very social person and is used to work alone. On the other, he looked very pleased at the thought of working again alongside his old partner, Nite Owl. I don't think he is a loner by choice.

As for acrobatic, I never saw him doing anything fancy.

You could give him a passive defense that protects him from physical melee attacks (those who inflict crushing or piercing damage) called "boxing training" or something.

If I'm right and he uses sprays, then a blinding attack may be a good idea.

IIRC, he improvised a lil' flamethrower by setting some kind of spray on fire .... lessee, yeah, he used hair spray:

Blitzgott, I couldnt figure out what attribute you were refering to with "stealth", and I switched "iron jaw" to "grim resolve".  I got rid of "combat skill" because it did look like it was a bonus to all attacks instead of just melee (plus I didnt like it that he always has a "plus" sign above his head), but I stayed away from blitzkrieg because it causes him to inflict too uch damage for a normal human.  I stuck with "shake it off" because of his pain threshold.

I stuck with 2 ranged attacks to give him some diversity, a crushing damage grappling hook which 'm using Blackjack's Tanglewire fx, but it has a grappling end NIF so if there is a better one.....and I gave him a blinding spray projectile with a medium range instead of short because he needs to blind his opponents before they get too close.
