I live in Calgary.  Normally winter is mild, but now its a deep freeze.  Tonight the temperature is dropping to -46 Celsius, that would be -51 Fahrenheit.

Pfff...we're looking at -60ish Fahrenheit with the windchill here. Be glad you have those rocky mountains to block out some of this wind.

Good gravy! To think that I'm shivering in 20 degrees F

We're having a record snow fall here.  It snowed for the first time in 24 years...hehe...and it's a deep snow.  I

Yeah, OK.  I know as a resident of Minneapolis I razz folks when they start complaining about it being cold, but I'm gonna have to give you that one.  Sheesh.

Yeah, hitting -43 celsius tonight with wind chill.  Today, our school's buses weren't running, and despite being near -40 celsius and plenty of fresh new snow on the roads, we still had school.  In fact, our school district's policy is to always have school - no snow days, no blizzard days, etc.

So, instead of teaching 23 kids (my usual class size) I only had 11 kids in my class.  Can't do much with only half my class.  I'd estimate that around 50% of our student population didn't show up to glorified day care --- err, I mean school, today.
