Me and my buds have decided to play a multiplayer game together, but every one of our guys is too expensive i guess.....

Do we have to do somthing to be able to play most guys? or is there some secret to being able to play your dudes? So far from what ive seen if your guy has more than like 2 moves you wont be able to use him.

Is there a set point cut off? and if so any tips on making a guy that doesnt suck and still stays under the restrictions?

I play Nightwing so its not like im giving him some rediculous explosive powers or anything.

the options are pretty clear cut, and since I don't play MP, I can't tell you exactly what to turn off to allow you full access of your hero files. Also, when making herofiles, it clearly tells you, while making them, when they're no longer multiplayer worthy under the regular rules. That default cutoff limit happens to be 6k which isn't really a lot, but...*shrugs*

Man 6k...... thats rough.... I wonder if you can add to you guys as you go along.... with like in game stuff... like if you start at 6k will your guy be stuck around there the whole game?

I don't play MP, but can't you just not set the "balanced play" option?

You can also change the values of MP_CHAR_COST_LIMIT and MP_POWER_COST_LIMIT from the console or from both players' ..\system\localinit.py files. I don't know exactly how they are used in MP games, but raising them above 6000 might have the effect you want.

I am pretty sure the characters you take into MP games would not have gained XP and those matches don't allow you to level up the characters after each match.

That limit is one very disappointing aspect of FFvstTR's multiplay component.  One of several. :(

Y9ou can just uncheck balanced play and you can then add whoever you like. I've tried it.

What he said.  Provided every enters into the spirit of the thing and doesn't make a rediculously unbeatable character, the non-balanced mode is great!
