Just uploaded two versions of Super-Lois to Character Obscura, one a golden age duplicate of Superman's costume, the other a delicate pink one from a silver age imaginary story. Also is a copy of Peerless' VX Female Skirt mesh to go with these skins.

Included in this release are skins and meshes for The Spider-Master of Men. Based on Warren Hull's costume from the 1939 serial, it comes with both  :ff: and  :ffvstr: Pulp Versatile meshes and keyframes.

Soon to come: Super-Lana

Both are wonderful obscure fun, and look great. I believe Columbia's The Spider Strikes serial was in fact in 1938, meaning that Richard Wentworth was an established costumed hero on screen at the time Superman first appeared. The Spider, the Lone Ranger on film and radio, the Green Hornet, Zorro, then Superman — the superhero must have seemed like the coming thing to the discerning observer of pop culture. Nothing like a depression and war clouds to make people long for noble superhumanity.

Dan was kind enough to upload protraits of The Spider and Supermaid (the pink costume).

I left the wrong layer active in Photoshop when I saved the Spider skin, so it is not the correct one. The CORRECT file, with and addiotional portrait is now posted at Charactger Obscura.

Also, a portrait file for the Superlois from Superman 45 is there.

Thanks again, Dan.

I've been thinking about "Supermaid," and how odd it would be to have your superhero name advertise your alleged status as a virgin (but only if you're a woman, of course). Ah, the strange, wonderful world of the Silver Age (now reflected in the excellent AMC soap, "Mad Men.")
Funny, too, that for the last 25 years or so, no one has assumed that Lois Lane is a virgin.
