Mod Question.....

ummmm....... Did anyone ever make that mod to make energy blasts look like light? Like the Legacy Chain member's?

and maybe for like an energy aura?





also i know this is off topic but why don't they allow Heroes to have plant control???

It's not that they "don't allow" heroes to have plant control, exactly. When the game first came out, there were no player villains, and they couldn't create every possible power. Controllers ended up having a specific group of powers. Later, when the Dominator AT was created for CoV, one of the powers they were given, apparently in an attempt to give them something new, was plant control. Controllers and Dominators are two different ATs, not just the same thing with a different name, and it happens that the villainous one has plant control and the heroic one doesn't. In all likelihood, eventually they'll get around to giving Controllers Plant Control, and maybe giving Dominators Illusion Control, but they would have to specifically add those sets to those ATs, and so far they apparently haven't considered it a high enough priority to take the time to do so. Giving a new power set to an AT does require a certain amount of coding, no to mention making sure it balances correctly with the AT's secondaries and special ability.

Personally, I think all the power sets should be available to all aplicable ATs, to allow for maximum variation. I do understand that some sets would have to be altered to work with some ATs, and that there are certain other problems (I was in CoV beta before they took ice powers away from Brutes, I know there can be AT-specific problems with some power sets- I also think there are ways to compensate for those problems, however...)

Maybe, with CoX's newly enhanced super-duper corporate powers, some of this stuff will finally start to happen.   Let us all bow our heads and cross our fingers.  :)

anyone know about a mod like that though.....because maybe i want to make a blaster but dont want energy i want light....i know you can change it but i want to know if someone made a mod to do so.

No one on here has. If TJ didn't do it, you have to search other COH fansites. And anyway, the only person that would actually see the difference is you. Almost every mod is client side only.

I looked into it at one point, but I was only able to find three or four of the necessary textures so I couldn't actually do the full mod.

The PIGG files are... to put it lightly... disorganized.  :o

I wouldnt mind if only i could see it.....it would just to make the gamin experience more enjoyable....

anyone want to attempt to make it?
if you made it it would have to be for both energy blast and energy manipulation. (blaster)

or maybe if anyone wants it for a villain? i know there is energy melee and aura
