2)prison break
3)house
4)Las Vegas

6)chuck

Previsionary

Hrm, those without "extended cable" should still get like 4-12 channels, so I'm gonna make some suggestions with that in mind:

If you get CW, I suggest Reapers. It's a pretty good show and people compare it to Buffy, take that as you will.

Fox, I suggest Bones. Kitchen Nightmares, fox edition, is not as great as the UK/BBC version imo.

NBC, Chuck, nuff said.

CBS, How I met your mother, I watch this from time to time. I also give The Big Bang Theory an occasional watch but Mondays are busy days, dangit. Anyway, it's an all-right show that's smarter than the typical comedy while somehow mixing in comic references every once in awhile...go figure.

GhostMachine

One show I recommend avoiding is Journeyman, which comes on after Heroes. The best way to describe it is "Quantum Leap, except he doesn't become other people, goes back home once he's done, and argues with his wife a lot". I watched every episode up until this week and have given up on it.

I highly recommend Life, however. It stars the actor who played the Major in HBO's Band of Brothers mini-series as a police detective who goes back to work after being let out of prison for 12 years for a murder he didn't commit and is wealthy as a result of the resulting lawsuit but is trying to solve the mystery of who framed him. The character is quirky (ie, nuts) but interesting.

Has anyone heard when the new episodes of Law & Order are supposed to start? I know that new episodes of the spin-offs have started, but Criminal Intent is being aired on cable instead of network tv.

We don't have cable or satellite tv and we get a whopping total of ONE local channel.  Apparently the other stations have such poor signals that we get mostly snow except for NBC which comes in crystal clear.  Weird thing is NBC is located the farthest from us.  So instead we watch episodes online.
Here's a list of what my wife & I watch:
Bionic Woman - Started a bit weak but it's growing on us.
Bones - Still a great buddy crime-solving series.
Chuck - A big surprise at how much fun we're having with this one.
Heroes - Still an intriguing show to watch, eventhough it is lacking the sense of discovery of the first season.
Journeyman - I will stand opposite of GM and say this is a cool show with a great lead actor.
Moonlight - Not sure if I really like this one.  It's campy 80's style supernatural/crime show.
Smallville - Currently downloading this season's episodes.  As far as I can tell, CW doesn't have full episodes on the site.  Could be wrong, but it's hard to tell with their awful site design.
Supernatural - Same as Smallville.

Check out the website of this show and others, sometimes they show whole episodes as streaming video.

Pushing Dasies, if you're not watching it, you should be.

Heh.  Yeah.  That's why I said we watch our shows online. :)  We actually never watch regular TV since we only get one channel.  Our television is dedicated to DVD watching.  Besides, watching online I never have to worry about needing to catch a show at a specific time.

Conduit

What BentonGrey said.  Seriously, Pushing Daisies is amazing.

Monkeyman

House: always enjoyable and witty
Chuck: the most fun and perfect mix of action and humour out there right now.

JeyNyce

What everybody said and.....

Big Shots - A guy's desperate housewives

Samantha Who? - Great comedy

Also go to the channels websites and you can watch Heroes, My name is Earl and other shows streaming.

Better yet go to netflix. I pay 14 bucks a month so I get 14 hours of streaming video... which I mostly spend on episodes. I'm up to episode 11 of dead like me and loving the show.
