When you deactivate your billing, there's a survey that asks you why you're going. At the bottom, there's an "additional comments" field.

Here's what I just wrote.

QuoteCoH gave me almost 3 years of fun, and that's a staggering amount of time for any one game to keep my attention. I don't fault the devs or the game, I've just had about all I can take of the same grind. The first two or three times through the content were fantastic, and the next half dozen times or so were still fun. But once I run the same mission for the 12th, 13th, 14th time... and that mission is identical to almost every other one... well... I just can't do it past a certain point, yaknow?

As I said, my time with the game was great. If a new archetype shows up (one that plays dramatically differently to the current ones) it might be enough to coax me back for a while. But failing that, I'm gonna move on to some other games.

Thanks for three great years. No hard feelings, it's just time to go. :)

MJB has my account info, he'll be goofing around on my toons until it expires on the 6th. If anybody needs cash, poke Meejub and have him loot one of my dudes for you.

'Twas fun, folks. :)

PS. I won't go through the whole honor roll of everybody I ever teamed with. The people I like know who you are. If I like you, thank you for doing whatever you did to deserve that.

PSS. I'd like to apologize for stirring up so much crap with the AFBL. I was tired, I was cranky, and I was sick of some stuff that was going on IRL. It wasn't an appropriate thing to say, nor an appropriate way to say it, and I apologize for souring people on it. Especially to Turtle, whose party I was crashing, to Viking, who I think was most ticked off at me (and justifiably so), and to Mikey, cuz fighting over that was the last time we spoke, and I never got a chance to apologize directly on that front.

And now back to your regularly scheduled self-important "I'M LEAVING!" thread.

Hey, Meej!

Try not to do any evilly embarrassing costume changes or respecs, okay?

The Phantom Eyebrow

All the best Spud.  Teaming with FR-ers is the best part of COH/COV and I've had a few fun missions with you as part of that.  Plus you've been an invaluable source of help (no, really!) over the FR channel during my n00bish early days.  Of course, now that I'm an experienced veteran I need no help any more!

Now where's Meej with all your stuff?

Camma

Ill miss chasing after you, finger poised on the heal button.  But all that training (which i loving refer to as: Where The *%&$ did Spud Go?) gave me the patience and ability to run on a regular team to 50 with BAD as the tank, which without spud's guidance woulda been an insurmountable task.

So now i guess if we can't blame grizz and can't blame spud, the blame must fall on MJB since he has all yer stuffs.

Valandar

Hey, Meejub, I'm signing back in later today, got any dosh for me? :D

This was all about me, wasn't it?  You're welcome.  :)

Top and I will miss you Spudly.  Team Simulding FTW!

BlueBard

I never had the opportunity to team up with you in PvE, Spud, but your familiarity with the game has had a trickle-down effect that's helped the rest of us so, Thanks, and Good Times on the next game you take up.
