Lost alot of skins.

Ok somewhere along the line the dvd i had alot of my skins on has vanished and wouldn't you know just when i need them i cant find them anywhere on the net now.

First off where are all the Skin Sites gone? Did all the skinner sites cave to the Big M?

Anyway can you still access files from the old Gamma Patrol site because i'm after alot of old Courtnal skins for something my sister is trying to make and they would come in handy.

Any site address's to Marvel or DC skins would also be grateful since i'm out of touch with FF world of sites.

Btw i've been and ransacked Alex's site so i have all the skins from there.

Your best bet is hitting the Newpowerinc list of websites and trying a few of those. Two of the big sites: Freedom Asylum and Renegade Victory, are down at the moment. All of C6's skins are being placed back up on Alex's sites and Renegade Victory ... although I'm not sure of the timeframe.

You should also go through the yahoo group skins lists.

Alternately, list the skins you need, and I'm sure people can send some to you.

what is this Big M you speak of? Marvel? They havent done anything since the skindex accident.

GPL has been gone for a few months. Nothing is no longer available through GPL.

For marvel/DC skins...I'd suggest looking at UE's, Podmark's, AA, Murs, Tomato, and kssaint's sites which are linked to in their profiles. A quick cruise to the skins forums might also be helpful. (I don't have links handy at the mome. :S)

As you know, HQ has removed all of the copyrighted content from his site and Freedom Asylum is also down for now. Hope that helps a bit.

Thanks for the help and yeah the Big M is Marvel since they were harrassing everyone about skins i really dont understand why HQ took all the copyrighted skins of his site Marvel doesn't have a leg to stand on legal wise since all the skins and meshes are classed as Fan Made art and i dont see them stop and bring down legal issues on art sites that make images of Marvel characters.

Anyway my opinion is it's a shame that alot of the stuff we used to have access to now is no longer availible and I wish all the best to the Artists that have stuck with FF for so long and made this community stay alive.
