Trying to find out if there is an interest for south florida and florida players to have a meet and greet in the Ft Lauderdale area... if we get enough players we will announce a tentative date and find something that works for everyone.... prefer a place with internet access and maybe even computers for those of us without laptops.... if there is an interest please email johninabnit@comcast.net

So I went to the South Fla CoX meet and greet and met... 4 people.

Well, I was 2 hours late too, so... I was told I missed about a dozen or so people who did show up.

I hope to see another soon.  Looks like the South Florida meet and greet was hit with complaints about it not being in Central Florida, or North Florida for others to enjoy.  I found that kinda' disappointing and distracting from the actual attempt to do such I mean... hell --- the thread topic was SOUTH Florida meet and great.  I think it would have been nice if the people wanting the meetings in their part of the state had started their own topics.  I think it derailed it a tad bit and the fella putting it together did drag a bit on the details.

Any matters, it turns out the fella' who had put the meet and greet together was an old childhood pal from when I was a youngun' and I hadn't seen him in well over 20 years.  So despite the fact there was only 2 couples there along with me, there was plenty of conversation.

No pictures were taken that I know of and I didn't think about taking any myself until everyone was gone, which is a shame --- cause the two ladies I met were lovely.

If nothing else... I managed to take home the scraps of the giveaway goodies.  I got a COV button, 2 Lord Recluse Hero Clix, 1 Ghost Widow Hero Clix, and 4 Blue King # 6 City of Heroes comics --- that funny enough, had Zapow's Freedom Reborn story.

If nothing else... I managed to take home the scraps of the giveaway goodies.  I got a COV button, 2 Lord Recluse Hero Clix, 1 Ghost Widow Hero Clix, and 4 Blue King # 6 City of Heroes comics --- that funny enough, had Zapow's Freedom Reborn story.

Sounds like a cool idea.  I may have to try something similar.

I looked on the download versions of the comic and didn't see any fan material.  I assume that the printed comic has stuff the download does not?
