Hi everyone,

1.- Do your FX sounds work correctly with EZScripts minimods?
Maybe you don't believe me, but I never play with the sound on and yesterday I turned up the sound... and I just heard the voices of the characters, nothing more. Out of EZScript they work fine.

2.- I was also trying to play music in a minimod, but I couldn't. I add the music to the resources in FFEdit, I browse for the file... and nothing plays in the game.

3.- Apart from EZScript, does anyone know how to change the music of the main menu? I tried changing the music file for ff0_metagame, but it didn't work.

Thanks in advance.

1. Can't help you.   :(  Never had a problem with it :)
2. Is this an EZ Script Minimod?  Did you try the command "Play music music_<file name>".  Make sure you include "music_" before the file name.
3. "it didn't work" = no sound played at all?  did the default theme play?  I thought I saw a thread in Sounds/Voices that talked about having sound files formated a certain way in order to get them to play.  Check the properties of the your sound file and make sure they match the old.  Otherwise, you can try searching the Sounds/Voices thread.

2.- Yes, at this moment it's a minimod. I tried before posting the first time exactly what you're saying, but nothing.

3.- No sound played at all. I think the problem is with my sounds.dat, I've being playing around with it lately... But just to be sure, do your sounds work with EZScripts? (shots, beams, punches, etc)

The default music theme plays when I change everything again as it was in the beggining, but when I change it back to my file, no music. What file properties are you saying?

Anyway thanks for the help, I'll check out the Sounds/Voices thread.

Sorry I can't help you out more...I was sure it was the "music_" thing (gets me every time )

You should be able to right-click your .wav file and select "properties".  Click the summary tab and you'll see things like "Bit Rate", "Channels", "Audio Sample Rate", etc.  You can get a free/trial .wav editor from cnet.com that will let you adjust those things if need be.

Other than that I'm stumped.  Good luck.

PS--when you figure out the problem, please post a solution.

Ok, I'll check the properties.

I think I have to reinstall all the ffvtr 'cause I have no FX sound, it's not just for the FFX32.

Thanks.
