.......to those who request them anymore.  Just don't ask me.  Someone decided to take it on themselves to punish me for claiming something I believe I have claim to, so I won't be helping in this manner anymore to ANYONE who might ask.  Thank you and have a nice day.

P.S.  I also have just piled all my meshes into one folder, so I can't figure out which one belongs to who without a lot of work anyway.

P.P.S.  Maybe I also just need tons of time away from freedomreborn as well because whether others are just being judgmental or really just concerned, it's not doing my health any good.  I doubt it's helping anyone else's health either.

Whatever comes after P.P.S. To Tommyboy........I wish I had organized my stuff better.  What you're asking will take a very long time to do.  All of the meshes in my folder, a folder is one of the very few things on earth I know how to create, are all in that one folder and aren't in sub-folders to tell me who did afghanant's or yours or anyone else's.  What I'm saying is I can't guarantee that I can get rid of all of yours because of that without getting rid of everyones.  What's your call on this?

Oh, please, spare me.
I take the time and trouble to make the things.
I give them away, in their hundreds, for free.
I include a text file with each mesh, (which you apparently then delete).
If you don't WANT to remove my work from your hard drive I can't MAKE you do it.
Do it, or don't do it, as you choose.
Just stop whining about how misunderstood you are, because I understood you perfectly.
Let me quote you:

See? you are STILL doing it.
How do you "have claim" to it?
Did you make it?
Did the person who DID make it tell you "you can claim this as yours"?
Or did they just make it for you and give it to you, and you assume the rest?
I've made over a hundred meshes by request. Some are avatars, some well known superheroes, some obscure cartoon characters. And I've given those to people, individually and collectively. They can say "tommyboy made this for me, it's mine". What they CAN'T say is "it's been on my hard drive for two years, I'm such an ignorant ingrate that I can't be bothered to remember who made it for me, even though I contacted them and asked for it, so now I'll demand that they come forward or else I'll start saying I made it".

As I said, delete my stuff or not. I can't force you. I can't check your hard drive.
What I CAN do, is if I ever see you trying to "claim ownership" of MY work in the future, is I can take whatever action I deem appropriate at the time. So trust me when I say that given your penchant for amnesiac ingratitude and claim jumping, it's in your best interests to pull your "I claim ownership" trick with other people.

So we are clear:
You do NOT own my work. You will NEVER own my work. Any future claims on your part to ownership of my work will be taken very, very seriously.

I leave it up to you as to whether you have any of my meshes, skins, or mods, or any of the many fine nifskopes/hexes that others have derived from parts thereof.
If you have, you have. If you haven't then you haven't.

Zorro

How do I have that "claim"?  Ok, I have the "sharing rights" then to share the skin with others because of what I did.  Is that better?  Perhaps you "should" also read that thread that you have been professing to have read too.  The thread that comes under the section called Skins.  It should enlighten you to much that has happened.
The person did make the skin for me in exchange for something of monetary value.  So, you might say, he SOLD it to me.  Yes, I understand that you're gifted and you do share with others, but have you ever sold one of yours?  Do you know anything about what the law says when someone does that?  If you find out, perhaps you can enlighten me too.

Umm....Does anyone know where the bathroom is! Umm... I'm lost! :(

tommyboy

Yes I've read the other thread.
Nothing you posted subsequently explains, justifies or validates your second post.

Frankly, if you had the rights you now claim to have "bought", you would not have posted in the first place. You wouldn't have needed to post. If you "paid" for it, then you wouldn't need anyones permission to redistribute it, unless the sale were for private use ONLY, in which case you would be in breach of the contract formed between you and the author.
And yes, I DO know the law with regards to the difference between OWNERSHIP of a piece of art, and AUTHORSHIP of it. You apparently do not.

But I'm tired of this, and even more tired of you.
Post what you like, I'm done with this.

UnfluffyBunny

points to dwell on

it's 1 freaking skin

looking at the skin, TBH, I dont think there's gonna be a huge qeue of people waiting to get their hands on it (the main reason is it not being mainstream, some people still get the good kick from originals, but thats another point completely)

zorro, no matter what your intentions, you need to seriously go back and read the second post you made in that thread, if you can honestly say that people couldnt come to the obviously wrong conclusion by what you said, then you need to broaden your mind a little.

this has been blown up to damn huge proportions, it didnt need 2 threads, this thread to me is just a cry for attention.

at the end of the day

the artist who made the skin is likely no lenger active.
Zorro has a wish to share the skin.
on usual circumstances i'd be against the redistribution of anothers work, but as it was a skin -for- zorro I feel he has -distribution rights- (no claim to the work, JUST distribution rights)

If Zorro decides he wishes to make the skin publicy available, he should include reference that he is not the artist.

my oppinion, take it or leave it.

Oh my sweet Jesus...  :o

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?!?!?

Alright, here's my opinion on the matter:

we all need to stop.  and we also need to eat some cookies.  ALL of us.  even people that aren't even involved in this in any way at all (...such as myself.  i just want some cookies. ).

murs47

*changes voice to Arnold Schwarzenegger's*

"who told you, you can eat my cookies?"

Boalt92

Sorry to add to the carnage, but....from the legal desk:

Zorro: if you and the original author agreed that ownership rights would be included in the original contract, then you have no reason seek out the original author at all (unless you simply wanted to thank him/her).  Unfortunately, your choice of words killed you, because you made it sound as though the statute of limitations had expired and therefore the work is yours.

I'm no specialist in art or intellectual rights, but, typically speaking, it's up to the purchaser to maintain record of the transfer, because, if challenged, he/she would have to demonstrate a legal claim to ownership of the err.... video game skin (the whole thing sounds kinda silly, doesn't it?).  This is especially true if you exchanged anything of value for the work.  It's even more true if you intend to redistribute the work on your own.

Other artists: Don't mix up "ownership" vs. "authorship"!  The creators of Superman can claim "authorship" to the character, but "ownership" (and all the money) goes to DC comics.  If you do decide to give up ownership of something, make sure you're comfortable with the fact that the new owner can do pretty much whatever he/she wants with your work (other than claim "authorship" of it).  If you're not comfortable with that, you can try to negotiate a lease of "ownership" or include some other "sunset" clause that returns the work to you after XX time.  Remember anything can be traded ... you just have to know how to negotiate.

(Never trust a lawyer without disclaimers):
I am in no way attacking anybody or attempting make a binding legal ruling.  This is simply my opinion based on my limited experience in contract law and proprietary rights of real assets.

vortex

Damn........I just deleted all of my cookies this morning!

STOP IT! YOU TWO!

Jakew

Zorro, I have to ask ... what did you "pay" for that skin?

Zorro

Unfluffybunny - I agree that I was dumb for what I posted there and I will follow what you and tomato have said in a readme that only puts me as someone with distribution rights and nothing else.  I will also put something in there for the artist, if he's still active, so he can make the claim on artistic ownership.  I'll also state that I don't know who the artist is at this present time and will add him when he comes and tells me who he is.  Is there anything else I'm forgetting?  I'm not exactly the brightest bulb on earth as many of you have seen.

Jakew - I paid 1 Kingdom Come Shazam heroclix figure.

Boalt92 - Thank you for clearing that up for me.  It helps to learn something new.  I definitely learned my lesson the other day.  Be careful what is typed, clarify where necessary before posting and know the definitions of what things mean and always be open to being welcome to the University of Life.

Update: Murs47 has offered to make one himself for me, so hopefully what I made come to life so quickly (the argument in the skins thread) can just as quickly find its way to the grave.

As far as not sharing with anyone any longer, as in the first post, Peerless1 has offered to help me with the fine art of organization and the "any longer" will revert to "at this time".

GGiant - Stopping it.
