Help with Loyalist II (original Character)

Hey folks,
I am working on a skin for my modern day Captain America Equivalent in the Infinityverse (my on personal continuity).  She is the daughter of the Loyalist (Oliver "Ollie" Edwards), an English hero who after WW2 immigrated to America, to fight crime, because he saw the unfair persecution of masked heroes in America as unfair, with the British governments permission is given full diplomatic immunity because the United Kingdom is pro-"hero."

After several years Loyalist retires to a community called Liberty Falls in upstate New York, (where many former heroes and reformed villains live) his daughter is named Liberty.  She is the typical rebellious daughter, and finally runs away to New York with her, drug dealer boyfriend, and after a few years winds up addicted to cocaine, and tied in with one of the many gangs.  Liberty is rescues by the hero team the United after the death of her father, and begins living at the Tower, the skyscraper headquarter of the United.  After months of living in the Tower the reactivated armor of the fallen hero Aerialist (actually the spiritual resurrection of the pilot Rex Carson due to an accidental exposure of Dark Wolf nanite tech) confronts Liberty about her relationship with her father, and her wasted life so far.  During an alien invasion of Earth, Liberty, in the Aerialist armor joined in the fight to save Earth with the United, after which she decided to become an active hero and mainstay on the United team, with a redesign of the Aerialist color scheme the team of the spirit Rex Carson and Liberty Edwards, fulfilling the legacy of the Loyalist.

I am looking for advice about how to skin this character.  Suggestions, ideas, concepts.
