Night Dragon

Don Herbert, best known as TV's Mr. Wizard, passed away at home at the age of 89. Herbert was the star of 'Watch Mr. Wizard' in the 50s and 'Mr. Wizard's World' in the 80s.

 That was one of my favorite shows to watch growing up, he made science fun and cool.

I heard about that.  They replayed an old interview with him last night.  It's supposed to go on the show's website tonight.  I'll put the link up when it is.

I never got to see him much, but I still remember details from the couple of episodes that I did see.

He used to come on at 12:30 on Saturdays on the local CBS affiliate. Seems like he did that for YEARS until the netwrok cut the cartoons back to only a few hours, then they put him on later-like 2:30. Of course this was in Alabama, where we are not known for our schoolastic excellence.

Bill Nye was okay, but the was only ONE Mr. Wizard.

The Hitman

NOOOOOOOOO!!!

This is a sad day. My thoughts are with his family.
