... I have no freaking idea where to find a good mesh for Captain Planet. I know there's a really old one out there, but I'm looking to update him a bit. Does anyone know where I can find a good mesh, or at least parts to 'Skope a mesh together?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the half- angry- sounding post. I've been looking for mesh parts for at least a solid hour.

hmmm pick any supermen type mesh (flight/strength) add a few locks of hair at the front (INK's Cyclops maybe?) and a mullet...
one of the nineties wonderman meshes? the one by ink or the a VX mesh should work. actually with the Captains slim build, maybe a Vx mesh would work best overall.
i think you've inspired me, Hitman. i might have a go at this myself. i have such fond memories of captain planet, he was such a wholesome character.

HA! Captain Planet!! Awesome!! Very cool...in a cheesy sort of way!! It's ironic that you should mention that as the Boomerang network is planning to start re-runs of Cap Planet. Can't wait to see what results from these efforts.

Thanks for the replies, guys. This'll help a bunch. Beyonder's is the right length, but the top part isn't right, and it's all one piece, so I can't Skope it. And I thought Captain Planet had a flattop as well?

EDIT: I found a pic of his head:

The conversation that sparked the sudden interedt in C.P. started when a friend of mine commented that his hair was majestic, in all it's flattop- mullet- ness.

Next question, the planeteers would work best on some of Tommy's Teen_TV meshes with Ren's Green Lantern kfs, right? Or is there something better out there?

I dug through my archive CD, and sure enough - I have a Captain Planet skin done by Spyderbyte back in 2003. Zivon23 called it right - it's skinned for Beyonder's captain_planet mesh at

I'm actually looking to make a new skin for him. Yeah, I know about that mesh, made by some guy namedMienk, actually, and wasn't too thrilled with it, but now that I'm actually looking at it, I could be able to do something with it. Thanks for the tip! It's all starting to come together!

I had a brief moment of clarity this morning, and came up with an almost solution! I have Ren's Kyle_Rayner mesh as a base (for the spikes), Tom's Spitcurl_Supes from Tom_V, the belt from Gren's Kree mesh, and the buckle from Gren's Taskmaster. And I think I found a way to condence all the "Extras" onto one .tga file! Woot!

Now all I need is a piece of hair that just covers the neck. That's it!

( One of his villians name's was Duke Nukem, just like the video game.)

check out Ink's Banshee meshes for hair pieces, i believbe some bits are even called hair_mullet.

duke nukem was a good villain, my favourite was the piggy guy

Yes, the Pig Guy was great, but Dr. Blight was the hottest cartoon supervillian I know...

EDIT: I found it... MAN, it's so close! The problem is, it covers the whole head, and has bangs, I dunno... just doesn't look right. Thanks though!

And the search for the perfect mullet continues...

i think that guy's name was actually Nuke Dukem, believe it or not, a terrible play on the original characters name. But Looten Plunder? best bad guy name EVER. i gusee once captain planet is done its only a matter of time before we see captain pollution, "dude"?

Oh, on the mullet thing, I found Tom's Red Ghost mullet, resized and placed in the right spot, works wonders.

Try looking at Beyonder's X-Men Evolution meshes... they're already teen-sized. The Sam_Evol mesh (or Evol_Sam... can't remember the actual names) might work for Wheeler (the fire guy), just 'skope or skin on the ring, vest, and the keyframes (IIRC, the Evolution meshes only worked with the original Irrational male_basic/female_basic kfs). Máti (the heart guy) could probably be done on the Jamie_Evol mesh, and the earth guy (forgot his name) can be done on the Spyke mesh. Oh, and the Russian wind girl would work on the Kitty_Evol mesh. Can't think of a mesh for the water girl... the closest I can think of in terms of hairstyle is Irrational's female_versatile mesh.

The X- Men Evol meshes! I totally forgot about them! Good call!! Gi, the water girl, I guess was th only grown- up one- a college student. I had no idea. Man, Wikipedia's great! She'll go on some variation of a female_hair_bob or something. Planeteers AWAY!!
