Ahh...well...don't read this if you'd like to play through the JLA campaign without knowing the twists.
The idea is that she's a traitor to her people, working FOR the White Martians.  She's J'onn's former partner in the Manhunters, giving him a more personal stake in the final battle.  Since I figure that the whole "Imperium" thing would be rather difficult to find for FF, and it's just not that visually interesting.
So, green would work better for the story.  With your work so far, we're a darn step closer!  If anyone cares to skin this:

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/crazy_lantern_2nd_floor/files/

And perhaps skope some bootcuffs onto her?

Mystik

hey dont knock the imperium, I'm using them for my invasion

BentonGrey

Good, then our mods won't have TOO much overlap. :D  Is there any more to it than is shown in JLA?  What mesh/skin are you using?  It's not exactly like there is a plethora of amorphous, tentacled blobs.

Panther_Gunn

BG, check your email.  Dr. Light has troops to command.

BentonGrey

Ohh man, these are quite awesome.  As I said in the email, PG, thanks man, you really nailed it!

"I'm just keeping this in view, and I've also got another request of sorts.  What existing skins/meshes could come somewhat close to the forces of an ancient Mayan god?  Haha, I mean, has anyone skoped the cuban villager mesh with guns?  Are there any central American native meshes/skins?  I'll pretty much take whatever I can get."

"On an unreleated note, I've been trying to find something resembling an end boss for my first JLA campaign.  I've finally come up with a character concept that I'm really fond of, but I don't think anything exists already that will work for it.  So, I'm adding yet ANOTHER request....I know, I know, and I'm sorry, but I really like this idea, and I'm hoping y'all will too.  I don't want to give too much away, but the idea is that this character is a Manhunter, like MM, so the costume and colors are intentionally similar.  A hex of Female_Versatile should do the trick nicely.  Here is a Heromachine mock-up, but I'd welcome some different interpretations.  I do think that the lack of hair would probably be a good thing, and probably the white cape and such.

http://www.inaneasylum.org/users/bentongrey/Default/picture2.jpg"

YL has done a great mesh for her, she just needs a skin and some skoped bootcuffs.

Villains I need:

The Royal Flush Gang:
I've decided to try and adapt several of the JLA episodes into my first several story arcs for my own JLA tales, and I'd really like to have at least some version of these venerable villains.  I'll take pretty much any version anyone decides to do.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Flush_Gang
http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/jl/bios/groups/rfg/
Black Manta:
I'm looking for a new skin for Aquaman's greatest foe.  I want something that captures just how awesome and deadly Manta is.
http://www.angelfire.com/mi2/dcuniverse/blackmanta.html
http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/dc/figuregallery.asp?unitid=2489

Marine Marauder I:
This guy was a fairly promising villain that never got enough attention or follow up...like so MANY of Aquaman's villains.  Anyway, I have some plans for him in the Aquaman story, but they require this early version of him as well as the later armored form.  I have a concept for a redesign courtesy of Heromachine, but I'm completely open to artistic interpretation.  I want him to look like a special forces guy, and I'd like for green and red to be his dominant colors.  I'm pretty flexible.
http://www.inaneasylum.org/users/bentongrey/Default/marinemarauder.jpg
And here is his original look=
http://www.comictreadmill.com/CTMBlogarchives/2007Images/Adv449Cover.html
The Flying Fish: This really cheesy foe of Aquaman was given an interesting makeover in his short lived new series.  Instead of an athlete in a silly glider suit, he was a mercenary in a suit of powered armor.  This guy has some potential, so I'd like to see him made.  There is a good image bellow, and I think he'd look good on a skope of Gren's Beetle.  Also, no need to put the lettering on his armor, as my use of him may not include Trident Industries.
http://www.inaneasylum.org/users/bentongrey/Default/flyingfish.jpg
Red Panzer:
Great Nazi villain, this guy can serve as both a Golden and Modern Age villain in my DCU, and that's just too good to pass up.  I'm afraid there aren't many good pictures of him.  Maybe the Male_SuitV2 mesh?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Panzer

The Awesome Threesome:
Tropedo, Claw, and Magneto (no, not THAT Magneto).  That's right, mega obscure Aquaman villains, and all together cool character ideas who were inexplicably never used after their first apperance.  These robotic assassins will be serving a very different function in my Aquaman mythos...if I can ever get around to doing it.  Claw might be do-able on a Mech-Man mesh, but I'm not sure about the others.

Piranha Man: Aquaman villain in need of a better name.  I don't really know what mesh would be best for him, but it should be something that can take swimmer keys as well as land keys.. ;)
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=882
Matter Master:  I have a feeling he's around somewhere.
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1043
Piscator: The fellow with the veil.  He should work on a TV skope.  As a matter of fact, the Atlantian soldier skopes by Unkoman included with the DCUG would work great as a base for him.
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/7671/aquamanv63705zv8.jpg

Carapax:  I don't care a lick whether this guy looks like this or not.  He's a minor villain in a tin suit, I'll take suggestions for anything I can use for him.  There is no need to make anything for him.  I was thinking, maybe a Crimson Dynamo skin or mesh?
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Bizzaro2.asp?UniqueId=1033

Catalyst:  I thought that this was a neat idea for a character, and he's got some potential to be interesting in a fight.  Maybe a skope of Tommy's Superboy Prime?
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1034
Firefist:  I LOVE this guy's motivation.  Haha, it's so ridiculous, but it kind of makes sense for a nut to do this.  I'll take pretty much anything I can get with him too, so I'm open to suggestions for something that might fit him.
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character2.asp?UniqueId=1085

Muse:  Once again, another villain I want to use because of his motivations.  I guess he might work well on a DS hex?
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Galactus.asp?UniqueId=1038
Ian Karkull:  This guy just looks plain scary.  I'm open to suggestions here, maybe something similar already exists?
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=436

Airstryke:  Someone that Hawkman can tangle with in the air, simple as that.  DEFINITELY needs to be on a Sauron mesh...as a matter of fact, if no one wants to do this one, I'll just use Sauron.
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Bizzaro2.asp?UniqueId=1039

The Eel: I love that glowing eye....the guy all in black
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/7671/aquamanv63705zv8.jpg

Marine Marauder:  The red guy in armor.  All I really want is just really an armored guy, I don't care about the tail or anything, just something scary looking.
Ion Mask:  This fellow is an Atom foe that I'd like to use one of these days.  I don't really know what he'd work well on, so I'm open to suggestions.
http://www.comics.org/coverview.lasso?id=20086&zoom=4
http://www.inaneasylum.org/users/bentongrey/Default/atom rogues.jpg

The Panther:  This fellow has got the makings of a great story, even if his costume isn't exactly inspiring.  I have plans for him, an Atom adventure coming your way soonish.  He should work well on Ren's Wildcat mesh.  I will need two versions, one with the red accents on the mask, and the panther on the chest, and one without, so that I can have the leader and the rank and file gang members be different.
http://www.comics.org/coverview.lasso?id=20397&zoom=4
http://www.inaneasylum.org/users/bentongrey/Default/atom rogues.jpg

7. Mr. Element: The first identity of Dr. Alchemy, and a character whom is part of an interesting storyline in the comics.  I would really like to touch on it in my own work, although I may never get to it.  Still, I think Mr. Element is sorta' cool looking and would be fun to use in the RR.
http://www.hyperborea.org/flash/alchemy.html

Secert Identities I need:

Bruce Wayne:
http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/batman/btas/bios/batman/51.jpg
Barry Allen:
Blond, blue eyed, not too much subtlety there.
Barbra Gordon:
http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/batman/btas/bios/batgirl/03.jpg

Female Civ will work fine.
Dick Grayson:
http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/batman/btas/bios/robin/33.jpg
He'll do fine on the Nick mesh.

Heroes:

Aquaman in dragon armor:  Cyber Burn's skope just needs a skin!  Here are some picks:

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/6672/jlaourworldsatwarpg252mo.jpg

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3011/jlaourworldsatwarpg273ob.jpg

The Sea Devils: I'd like this group of pulp adventurers to show up in the occasional Aquaman tale, but to do that, we'd need to have them skinned.  All of the male members can be skinned on the PV_Diver hex, but I suppose June will have to be skoped.  Actually, Nicky should probably be shrunk just a little as well.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_Devils_(comics)

Jakew

Hey Benton, I was just wondering: as the A1 Aquaman fan on these boards, do you have the following nautical characters...

* Neptune Perkins
* Tsunami
* Sea Wolf
* Shark
* King Shark
* Atlan (well, he was from Atlantis)
* Fisherman

BentonGrey

* Neptune Perkins-No
* Tsunami-No (but I'd include the character if it was made, I suppose)
* Sea Wolf-Almost...Unko is working on it.
* Shark-Yes, classic version, available on Alex's FF
* King Shark-I could if I wanted to, there is a man-shark mesh somewhere around...I should probably add him in
* Atlan (well, he was from Atlantis)-Nope, I don't quite know what to do with 'ol Atlan
* Fisherman-Yep, made by a fellow named Hoss20.

Everything I've got is available in the DCUG, and those that are pending will be in the full release.

Panther_Gunn

For those that are interested, I stumbled across a Neptune Perkins skin (and hex) on one of Phantom Stranger's groups.  http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrangersFFStuff4/

BentonGrey

BentonGrey

Howdy guys, I just want to publicly thank Unko for a really awesome Piscator.  He redesigned this loser into a really visually interesting character, and I'll try and do my part on the story and background end.  He did Sea Wolf as well, and now the waters are no longer safe!  Also, consider this a BUMP!

BentonGrey

Back to the front page *BUMP!*

UnkoMan

I can probably do a dick grayson. That shouldn't be hard. Just recolour nick.

PS: Thanks for the props.

BentonGrey

Awesome, thanks Unko!  Yeah, it should be pretty simple.  Anyway, no-one ever gets to see half the fantastic stuff you've done for DCUG, and once I release, people might not notice it, so it's only fair to let people know. :)

BentonGrey

Hmm, is there a standard (non-animated style) KGBeast around anywhere?

BentonGrey

Ba-Bump!  I'd really like to see the new Flying Fish and the original Marine Marauder done, if nothing else.

BentonGrey

Alright......this is going to be a very unusual request for me, but I think my reasoning is sound.  I just realized that I didn't have all the major Teen Titan villains added in to the DCUG, so I set out to add Shimmer and Jinx.  I pulled out the meshes used in the Teen Titans mod, and while they were excellent, I couldn't help but think about how the comic Jinx compared to the version from the Teen Titans show.  Now, there isn't much from that show that I enjoy.  I've seen a couple of good episodes, but generally their focus on style over substance and use of anime tropes just too be "cool" rub me the wrong way.  That being said, I've seen an episode focusing on Jinx that made her a much more interesting character than the comics version, and she already has a fairly appealing character design.  So, in short, I'd like to request a skin/skope of the animated version of Jinx (without the animated proportions, of course).

http://thewhiteninja.org/sitebuilder/images/140px-JinxAnimated_1_-101x374.jpg

And may heaven help me.

hoss20

Here's a version of the Flying Fish. Let me know what you think.

BentonGrey

Ahh, that's fantastic!  Nice work on the skope for the goggles, by the way.  I think if you make the purple parts of his armor less reflective, and bring out the chainmail-y nature of the golden part, he'll be perfect.  I like the wings a lot, and I wasn't sure how they'd turn out on that mesh, seeing as it's not an exact fit.  I think it's a smashing success though!

hoss20

Do you want the legs in chainmail? I noticed in the reference picture that they were covered in armor, but I thought it would be more natural to have them in chainmail.

BentonGrey

Hmm, you're right, that picture does have his legs in solid armor instead of chainmail, but I think  you're instinct is dead on, it would look better if they were chainmail as well.

hoss20

Here you go, Benton. I toned down the reflection and added chainmail to the legs. Is there a tutorial on chainmail somewhere? I just used crosshatch strokes on the details. Anyway, let me know what you think and Ill get started on the Marine Marauder. Speaking of which, you mentioned you wanted his colors to be red and green, but I noticed in your heromachine mock up instead of red, the color looked more like a purple or dark magenta. Is that the color you want or would you prefer a more traditional red?

BentonGrey

Hey, now that looks pretty good.  I don't know about a tutorial on chainmail, but TUE or C6 might be able to tell you, as I know they've done chainmail before.  However, that crosshatching looks pretty darn good.  I think the new Flying Fish is pretty well set. :thumbup:  As far as the Marine Marauder, I'm afraid that the colors are a result of the limitation of Heromachine.  A regular red will go, but nothing too bright.  Definitely try and keep 'special forces' in mind.  Plus, don't worry about sticking too close to my own design, feel free to experiment if you want.

hoss20

Hey Benton,
Here's the Marine Marauder. I used Texas Jack's Punisher_TJ mesh. I didn't know how much of a commando look you were going for, so I left all the guns on his back. Let me know what you think.

BentonGrey

Hmm.....I like the upper half of him, I think that works pretty well.  I especially like the color red you used, it's visually interesting without being too garish.  Let's add more red to that design though...maybe a stripe running down his sleeves or something?  Also, let's add in the goggles from the original comic appearance, I think those would look pretty cool.  I definitely like your choice of mesh, and it will give me tons of options for his powers.  As for those pants...hmm...what about something like a dark brown fatigue pants look?  With maybe red pipping?

hoss20

Here you go, Benton. The revamped version of Marine Marauder. Let me know what you think.

BentonGrey

Hey!  Now THAT looks awesome.  Great job Hoss, and those goggles make him look a good deal more professional.  He looks like a legitimate threat now.

BentonGrey

A new request, as I discovered a cool villain I had overlooked!  Plus, I'm going to trim out the fat by deleting the fulfilled requests.

Villains I need:

Mister I.Q. and Gang:
This was actually a really great villain of Hawkman's early on who returned several times.  I've linked to the only image I can find of him.  He's the fellow on that cover with the purple jacket. I'm not quite sure what to skope him from, but probably TV.  He'll need a gun of some kind (or maybe a cosmic rod-like weapon), goggles, and something form of boots that could conceivably hold rockets.  I'd also like for someone to skin his gang, or rather, just skin him with a blue jacket and maybe black hair, like the guy on the right of the cover.

The Fadeaway Man:
A Hawkman villain of little repute, but you have to admit that he's got a pretty cool costume.

The Royal Flush Gang:
I've decided to try and adapt several of the JLA episodes into my first several story arcs for my own JLA tales, and I'd really like to have at least some version of these venerable villains.  I'll take pretty much any version anyone decides to do.

Perhaps this summer, if it doesn't get skinned. I make no promises though! I know I'll just break them. I might be able to do a Barry in a couple weeks, however... That's much easier. Do you have a clothing style in mind?

Here's the Fadeaway Man for you, Benton. I had some trouble with the buttons warping on the tom_versatile mesh, so I switched to the male_basic_cape_fc_gloves mesh and it turned out a little better. I just skoped on the hair, moustache, goatee, and amulet.

Excellent Hoss, Those colors really pop, man.  Hmm...I don't know if that cape really fits the design though.  What about skoping on one of Tommy's bigger, more 'flowy' versions?  Would that be possible?  Thanks for taking all these requests man, you're really helping me out, and giving life to a lot of characters who would never see the light of day otherwise. :D

Unko!  I'm sorry man, I completely ignored your comment!  Anyway, I'm going to hold you to your non-promise about Muse. ;)  As far as Barry goes, well, Car said he might be interested in doing him along with some other secret identities I had requested, so I'll see if he's started on him yet.  If not, then I would definitely welcome your help, my friend.
