Hello fellow heroes and heroines!

I wander widely over the internet and one of the things I am involved with is Findagrave.com.  Findagrave members identify and photograph gravesites of anyone and everyone worldwide, humble or famous, and the site provides a place for memorials and tributes to be left by the public.

A good while ago I read a book that touched on the creators of Superman.  Most fans know that they were both treated shamefully by National Comics, and later by DC and Warner Brothers.  What I didn't know is that Joe Shuster had profound vision loss at an early age resulting in near-blindness, making it impossible for him to continue illustrating the strip.  Because I was moved by the way he was swindled and afflicted, and by the courage and dignity he displayed in the face of such adversity, I left a tribute to him at findagrave.

Months later I was contacted by a very polite and sincere gentleman, Marc Nobleman, who informed me that he was writing a book about Siegel and Shuster and asked if I would be interested in it.  I was, and asked for updates.  Today I received news that his book has been released.  Here is the announcement:

QuoteMy new book - the world's greatest hero!

Fictional hero, that is.

After three (long) years of preparation, Boys of Steel: The Creators of Superman is now out. I rarely send out such notices but this is my most personal project to date. It's a picture book that makes a super gift for boys, girls, or pop culture geeks of all ages.

It's available at Amazon or a local independent bookstore. You can read behind-the-scenes stories about the book and learn of upcoming speaking events on my blog. If you are willing to forward this to anyone who may be interested, I will be so grateful. Thank you for your time and support!

Best,
Marc
