About a year after CoH arrived, video card #1 started showing the wackiest, most pychedelic geometry I'd ever seen.  The card overheated and died.  I replaced it with an nvidia card, b/c at that time, CoH had conflicts with Radeons.  Just a couple nights ago after the Eden trial, my computer locked up, and coloured hoirzontal/diagonal lines appeared on the monitor.  It was just the beginning of the end for video card #2.  At the moment, my PC boots up, but there's nothing happening on the screen.

So here's hoping video card #3 manages to last! (once I pick it up)

I highly suggest you get an Nvidia/BFG card.  Mine went south and I called to ask if replacing the fan would work or if it was fried and I should buy a new one.

The guy kindly informed me they were guaranteed and all I had to do was send it in for a replacement.

10 days later, I was good.  :)

The issue may not be the video card. The motherboard could be a suspect...

Yeah, after thinking about it some more, I'm thinking it's the RAM or motherboard.  It's not beeping on start up like it used to, which I've heard is a RAM/Motherboard symptom.  So we may be looking at buying a new pc a year earlier than expected.

Which is both YAY! and DANG!  I was hoping to buy a new TV this year, which may now have to wait.

Interesting... Sounds like what happened to my PC... Me misses it so... Hopes me gets it up and runnings soon!
