Hey. I'm new here, and will try to learn how to make my own skins (I'm fairly sure I can get the necessary programs to make them, it's just the case of knowing how to use them) but I'm wondering if there are any projects for making skins for Astro City characters, like the Samaritan or Silver Agent?

Also, I'm wondering if there is an collective index of the various skins/meshes for Marvel, DC, etc Characters? A single place to go to if you need a Magneto skin, or a Hellboy Skin/Mesh would be very useful. I'm fairly sure it should be easy enough to set one up for free. (A free website to host links, and some other websites to host the skins and meshes themselves) Perhaps a Wiki could be used?

Anyway, my questions in short: Do you guys have any Astro City skins, and is there a large list of skins catalogued by character?

Astro City skins: I don't know if they have them.

Skin catalogue: I've attempted to try this, but it is very difficult. I would need more free time to really do it right, but I've amassed a small grouping so far.

Gryphon did Steeljack, Samaritan, Cracker Jack, Jack In The Box, Confessor, and Altar Boy.

I'd love to see Silver Agent and The Black Rapier though! Silver Agent would probably need a skoped mesh.

I thnk I've see one or two other Astro City skins, maybe at Alex's Freedom Fortress. I'm pretty sure I've seen more than one Samaritan, though.

As an aside, I didn't realize that Gryphon had done some Astro City skins as well.  That's awesome!

Btw, has anyone ever done the female hero with the wings...what was her name...oh yeah...Winged Victory?  Hey, can't hurt to ask!

So, how about we make an Index of Skins? It should be fairly easy to use a Google Pages website to contain a list of links to various File Sharing Sites that host the Skins and Meshes, like Rapidshare. (Best because they hold onto a file for 90 Days after it's been last downloaded.)

We'd just have to be sure that the files the site links to have all the skins needed for that particular mesh. For example, the Superman link would need Golden Age Superman, Current Superman, Solar Suit (The black suit) Superman, Kingdom Come Superman, etc.

Couldn't you just use the wiki for that?  Although given the hundreds of skins around, it would be a big job.

Well, I thought that everyone else here would have quite a collection of skins themselves, and all it would take is everyone sending their skins to one source (like a gmail account) and someone sorting through for the best meshes and skins.
