And the begging continues...Has the original Thing skin/mesh ever been made? You know, the "dinosaur hide" 1st appearance version. I would love to have it, if at all possible.

BTW, I know I ask a lot for various items, but believe me, every kind act/gesture/accomodation is sincerely appreciated. Thanks for helping out the less skilled and inept. the people on this board are alot kinder than most people I come in contact with in the "real" world.

I would love to have this skin, too. The old angry Thing was great, a sort of proto-Hulk.

The skin could be done on one of the existing meshs with a less pronounced brow, or possibly a "Behemoth" mesh I have.

When I try to duplicate the lumpy texture of the original hide, I almost get scales ala Kirby/Ayers. Maybe that's why the change was made to the sharper-edged scales from Kirby/Sinnot. Anyway, here is a first draft.

Nice! What mesh is that made for? Whatever mesh though, great work. It captures Ben's attitude at the time, perfectly.

Do you plan on releasing it as is, or will you do more "tinkering"? Not that it's needed.

I'm trying to soften the scales a little (they are on their own blending layer), and make some differences betwen the two sides of the figure. I also want to see how wide I can open his mouth before the distortion gets too bad.
After that, I have no place to relase it to, but will be glad to e-mail it toyou.
