Howdy guys, I was just curious if anyone else was as incredibly disappointed with EAW as I was.  The game was obviously dumbed down to appeal to a large audience instead of making a GOOD Star Wars game.  I was really expecting a tactically deep space/land combat game, and instead I got something in the Warcraft line.  I was really hoping for something along the line of Homeworld, and I have to feel like there is no excuse for not using that kind of format for space combat, a format that actually involves all three dimensions, as opposed to something that was just regular RTS combat, but on a black background.  The scale was just atrocious as well...ughh.....anyroad, I say all of this now, months after the game's release because I discovered a fan made mod that is so vastly supperior to it that I'm sickened by the comparison.  Check it out, for Homeworld 2:
