Muchachos,

POTUS XL3, my ar/eng blaster, just got the contact for the Cavern of Transcendence trial.  This means, of course, that I need a team of 8 competent players at lvl 15 or just below (or willing to exemp) to take on the task.  Where else to go but to you, fellow Reborners!  Is anyone interested in running this with me? It's a timed, 90 minute mission, has a badge, and must surely give good drops as it is a trial (although that's not quite as exciting at lvl 15).  It might be tough to get seven more FR folk for this, but would be sooo much better as to not deal with the PUG-factor.  Please let me know, and I'll set it up.

Sure, I'll join in.

Midnight

It's a quickie. I can bring one of my lowbies, probably a Dark/Dark Def

Funeral-Pyre

I can certainly bring someone.  Just let me know when.

BlueBard

I'd be interested, also.  I haven't done this trial yet with any of my characters, and I'd be willing to exemp down if need be just to pick up salvage and recipe drops.

gdaybloke

I can bring... pretty much anyone. I have the contact on Gday, so anytime anyone wants to run it, just let me know.

Tortuga

I would love to run this as Bravebird (dark/archery defender).  Since it's shorter, would you be able to start it later than the usual 8 pm EST?  Even 9 or 9:30 pm EST would be spectacular.

El Condor

NO LATE START FORRR YOU!

Heh heh - how's about tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 9:30 EST?  Looks like we go 7 so far - c'mon amigos, one more!

EC

DireWolf

Urk, if you can run it Thursday I can make it, but not Wednesday...

Adamence

I am totally up for it.  Another one of those things that I've never done with any of my characters.  There are so many of them, I really must make a list.

El Condor

Well, so much for my worries about finding a full team!  :P

Let's try a run tonight at 9:30 EST.  DW, the reason I picked tonight is that many in the group are also wanting to run Statesman's tomorrow and Friday.  The good news is that it looks like we may have enough to do the Cavern twice (I have alts I'd like to get in there), so we can try again with Gday's trial whenever he's available again (Saturday, perhaps)? That way, we can also catch the overflow if we have more than eight wanting in tonight.

Condor, once you have the contact for the trial, you can do it as many times as you like. I have the contact on both Gday and Drop Bear, so ANY time someone wants to run this, it's no hassle to knock it over.

For those who haven't run it before stealthy folks with Recall Friend are a REAL boon.

Zapow

I'd be up for it as well. Maybe we can run two teams.

captainspud

If anybody has a character with Recall and Invis, or an Illusionist with Group Invis before 16, this trial can be knocked out in 10-15 minutes.

Viking

How do you get the contact for the Cavern of Transcendance Trial?  I'm curious.

I believe you have to run a single character through all the Hollows missions.

El Condor

That's correct.  And after running the entire Hollows arc (especially with the clowns that populate the Hollows), you oughtta get a lot more than that!

The Hollows aren't that bad. Personally I've thoroughly enjoyed the arcs through the Hollows. The only complaint is the length of time it takes to get around without travel powers, but then, the same could be said of Skyway with its multiple levels. It is a huge zone, yes, but I don't think it's anywhere the monstrosity that it's usually portrayed as.

Besides, it's a great place to get badges like Weatherman.

Funeral-Pyre

Top and I may be a little later than 8:30 CT, but we will be on.

I completely agree that there's a lot of fun to be had in the Hollows.  Condor actually spent an enormous amount of time (in his pre-FR days  :) ) there, and did much learning.  What I was saying is that it can be quite a grueling endeavor to make it all the way from beginning to end, especially if your character is at all squishy.  When I created my first batch of alts, I sort of randomly decided to make my blaster my "Hollows" character (instead of, say, my tanker or regen scrapper! :P).  Months (and gobs of debt) later, he's finally reached the Cavern.  I've greatly enjoyed multiple cracks at Frostfire, task-force long assaults on Atta, and just soaring with my raptor pack over the vast, gorgeous gulches and valleys.  But it has been exhausting and testing to take on missions against CoT with their mezzes and knockdowns, flailling alongside lots of very raw players with little status protection and even less strategy. So I bid a fond adieu to the Hollows tonight, but it will be nice to have a break from it.  :D

See you all in the Cavern....

El Condor

Great job everyone! Two awesome and lightning-fast teams beat this trial tonight.
