Hey There! I have always been here, lurking mostly, but haven't posted much in a while. I thought I would put up a few pics to share what I have been up to lately (and not so lately  :blink:).

For Halloween, a friend and I created our own Ultimates costumes. We went all out and I think it shows. Here I am as Ultimate Captain America (sans the muscles and blonde hair). I got with a friend who does metal work and we pounded out that shield old school style and I painted it by hand. My friend who went as Thor sewed the whole top. I did the modified gloves, pants and utility belt. I created the helmet from several pieces. Hope you like it!



My friend Josh went as Ultimate Thor. He created the top and belt all by himself. Another friend and I created that Hammer from scratch. It is all weded steel. Josh wasn't fond of the wig, but it was the closest we could find to Ultimate Thor's hair (and not too far off actually). And yes, Josh is a strong man.



Also, I got my girlfriend a puppy for Christmas. His name is JJ and he is a teacup chihuahua who turns "cute" up to "11"!

Great to have you back man! I must say I'm astounded by the quality of your costumes, they're very professional. Excellent job. Finally, that JJ is a dog after my own heart  :wub:.

Hey Mowgli!  Long time no see!  You guys did a great job on teh costumes, any chance I can talk them into coming Dragon*Con this year?  :D

And though I'm a cat person, the puppy is very cute too.  :)

speaking of Dragon Con, we should get a crew together and co-ordinate some costuming.  I will be there with a camera crew in tow this year presumably.  Few of them will likely be dressed up.

You did an amazing job with those costumes, I seriosly wouldent be surprised if the thor one enables flight and weathre control.  :D

Thanks guys! Unfortunately, I only got third in the costume contest.  :( But they were still fun to make, and the shield is hanging in the art room I teach in. The kids revere it as the "real shield".  :)
