I've been trying to link custom characters to existing hero files to cut down on creation time. I have EZ Hero installed. I keep getting Run time error 76 Path not found, when I try to send to dat.  my file path should be correct.

the path is D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich\Custom\Art\library\characters

which I copy pasted.

Unsure what I'm doing wrong

Changed the file path to just the main  :ffvstr: game folder. It allows me to send to dat now but the character just doesnt show up in my custom folder at all in game.

Bro, this "path not found" error is probably because the old tool EZ Hero isn't working properly on Windows 10/11.

Don't worry, I've figured out a few solutions; try them one by one, they should fix it:

1. Streamline the path: Don't put files in deeply nested folders like D:\SteamLibrary\... Try creating a short-path folder like D:\FF_Heroes in the root directory of your D drive and moving the files there.

2. Improve compatibility: Right-click EZ Hero.exe, find "Compatibility" in "Properties," and check "Run this program as an administrator" and "Run this program in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) mode."

3. Manually move the file: If that still doesn't work, let's try a simpler method. First, create the hero in a path like D:\FF_Heroes, then use the "Save As" function to manually copy the generated .hero file to the game directory you mentioned earlier.
