Map Editor Cursor Stuck in Windows 11

Hello my friends, one of my students in my Marvel class is creating an FF campaign for my Marvel Mod as his creative project for the course, and I've been helping him get up to speed on the basics of modding.  However, when he opens the level editor via FFEdit, it loads, but when he tries to move the mouse, the cursor disappears and pulls the screen all the way to the right.  I've tried screwing with the compatibility settings of the level editor exe, but to no avail.  He's got Windows 11 and he bought the GOG version of the game.  Has anyone encountered this and knows of a fix?
