Clone Self on a custom character in Freedom Force 1 doesn't work.

Hi all!

I made a custom character to play with in the campaign in Freedom Force 1. It has Clone Self (similar to Deja Vu/Microwave's ability). Clone Self can be cast, but the resulting clone stands still and does nothing. It can still be hit, just doesn't do anything. Neither in Danger Room, nor in Campaign. I am not playing multiplayer.

Deja Vu and Microwave's abilities both work as intended - their clones act as they should.

I have a feeling it's because I have to give the ability some form of AI or similar. However, I don't know how, and googling hasn't helped me much as to this regard.

The character doing it is male_basic and I'm activating it with the quick melee punch animation. I have no idea whether this is relevant.

If versions are relevant, I'm playing the GoG version and I have the console enabled by editing the ini file. I'm running the game with dgVoodooCpl to make it function.

The purpose of the power is just to create quick, punchy copies, that just run up to enemies and use melee strikes on them. If I need to code an AI for it, I hope this is not too complicated.
