I've finished what I think I want to do with Dizney Ducks, So I started work on th other classic Dizney characters. There will be about a dozen or so of both good guys and bad guys.

It will be a few days until everything's ready for release and I hope to have 3 or 4 dioramas out of them. Here's a preview of the first one;

Mickey Mouse and the Mad Doctor - from 1933. Mickey is sleeping during a stormy night and hears Pluto howling. Going outside he finds Pluto missing and footprints leading off. He follows them to a mad scientist's castle with a bridge to it. Inside, the mad doctor's plan is to splice Pluto with a chicken and see if a dog, chicken or hybrid hatches from any eggs laid. Mickey enters the castle and fights a lot of skeletons to get to Pluto where he's captured and put on a rack with a buzzsaw being lowered over him.

One of my favorite parts of the cartoon is the skeleton spider in a web.

The skeletons are previous imports from Civ4

All other models are from the models resource. Mickey, Pluto and the Mad Doctor are rigged and ready for play on release.

  wow  They were always great characters missing from the game! I like the designs of the classic ones and the new ones that do car races; they're very faithful to the source material. The diorama looks just as terrifying as what's seen in the short film.

Preview of the second Mouse Diorama

Mickey Mouse - The Sorcerer's Apprentice. 1940. Part of the movie "Fantasia"

Mickey is an apprentice to a wizard, tasked with hauling water from a fountain to a well inside with a couple of buckets. After the wizard falls asleep, Mickey wears his hat and enchants a broom. The broom grows arms and takes over Mickey's job while he takes a nap. When he wakes, the room is flooded and he can't stop the broom. Chopping the broom into pieces with an axe, aeah piece grows into a new broom and they all keep filling the well. Luckily, the wizard wakes up, stops the brooms, empties the room of water, and Mickey winds up refilling the well.

Two new rigged models - Sorcerer Mickey and the broom. The book is from the model's resource and the stairs and archway from sketchfab.

The Next Mouse Diorama - Lonesome Ghosts

Decades before there were Ghostbusters, there were the Ajax Ghost Exterminators - Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Some ghosts in an old haunted house are bored with no one to scare and see an ad in the newspaper for Mickey's company. They call Ajax up and pretend to be scared people being haunted. Whne the gang arrive, the ghosts pull msny tricks on them until they themselves are scared away.

Last Mickey Diorama - Mickey and the Beanstalk

Retelling of the classic story with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy climbing the Beanstalk to meet the Giant

Beanstalk versions of Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Not as close of a match as I would wish, but not bad overall.
