Awesome! That's a nice representation. You should be proud, very nice hammer effect.

Kudos to Dean for the Kronans!

Great effort all around. This is definitely an iconic cover.

This diorama is beautiful! Interesting work!

(By the way, is it possible to download the Kronans anywhere? One of my projects is to do various Marvel and DC alien races.)

Thanks.

It came together pretty well - the buildings are a bit different, and the male and female civilians from the game aren't a perfect match for the cover, but overall I think its a good representation.

I had been working on doing a Kronan a while back, and Dean stepped up, as he often does.

Should be available on Dean's site. Let him or me know if it isn't

I use Freedom Force only for combats, but I have sometimes thought about making comics using the game to represent combats between characters from different universes hehe

Randomdays

That would be fun. I had thought of doing a FF comic based on the same Thor as above, but it would be a lot of work.

With Blender, I can set each comic panel by posing the characters to match what I want. like the dioramas above, but it would get complicated setting up the different environments to match, like the buildings above.

A cartoon could be done as well for an issue or story using cutscenes, but that would be even more complicated - Benton could probably attest to that.

For me, I think the dioramas are the best way to go with my skills - doing one specific scene that represents an iconic moment form comic or tv/ movie history.

A cross company scene could be done of course, with the resources we have.

DoctorRuina

Yes, that would be very complicated, so we will leave it for later hehe. For the moment I like to watch battles between characters from different universes, although the AI sometimes doesn't work as I would like.

These are pretty cool, RD. Nice work.

I haven't posted in a while, but here's three that I've been working on, almost finished

1) In the 70's, the Brothers Hildebrandt were doing a lot of fantasy and SF paintings, including some great calandars featuring the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. So here's a DD of their work from the Hobbit where Gandalf meets Bilbo for the first time.

The main mesh is from one found on sketchfab I think. Bilbo and Gandalf are from the models I imported earlier, and the rest are either from FF and FFvt3R or from game assets from the models resource site. I couldn't find some large Sunflowers or Bilbo's pipe to use.

Its hard to see with the character viewer, so the screenshots are from Blender.

2) From the thingiverse website, an stl model of the silver age spaceship that brought Kal-El to earth. It's almost identical to the one that brought Kara to earth in the first appearance of Supergirl from Action Comics #252, so I recolored that and used it there as well.

I don't think the Krypton exploding scene is from a specific cover, though Superman #300 is close. A side note on that is I know I have a skin for Jor-El, but has anybody ever done Lara?

Superman is Superman 1960 by Yellow Lantern, and Supergirl is by Atomic Robot - The closest I could find to her original appearance.

RD, great to see you posting, my friend!

These are delightful!  I really love the Hobbit one, but they're all really cool!

Thanks Benton.

For the Hobbit, I need to add a gate to the fence.

For Supergirl, I'm looking for a good static mesh to use for the smoke behind the rocket.

As an aside on the Supergirl Action cover, I thought that the rocket being smashed on impact was wrong, as it. like Kara inside, should have been invulnerable. There was a story where Superman lost all his powers and was shot, and presumed killed, but he was only knocked out by the impact. He was wearing his costume, which came from Krypton, and was still invulnerable with the suit acting as a bullet proof body cover. I'm assuming from that, that ANY material from Krypton, besides the poisonous Kryptonite, was invulnerable to damage.

In some of the newer stories, that might have changes as I've seen his costume ripped up a few times in some stories.
