FF1 FFEdit Standalone

I've tried installing then FFEdit then copying the FFEdit files to make it a standalone. I uninstalled everything. Then reinstalled again with my repacked FFEdit. But it doesn't open anymore. Saying something like it's not installed.

Is there a way to make FFEdit a "standalone pack" like what AlexFF did with the  Mod Tools?

I wanted to mod both games but and it's tools are very buggy.

I've tried this a few ways and haven't been able to get it to work yet. Likely some registry settings need tweaking
