Hey all,

So I found this on the tutorial sticky posted above, but the links dead. Anyone know where I might find that tutorial now?

Thanks

Which one? Some people here have backups of all that stuff. The list was originally maintained by two users who are lost to us now, it should probably be redone (I could volunteer if need be I guess). I have "some" of the PDF tutorials myself that CB passed along to me back when.

Opps,

I was talking about this link. Forgot to post it.

Hopefully someone has it. I found a huge index of tutorials and that one of course isn't in there. Checked my old hard drive too an nope, sucks because I use that tutorial as well. So if anyone shows with it I would appreciate a copy as well, please and thanks.

Thanks for looking.

Hopefully someone out there has it.

If you want to send them my way I can set up a page on the Museum for them. And any others that people have that need a home. I think Cyber sent me a zip of tutorials a while ago. I'll look to see what I have.

WyldFyre: It would be one he labelled PDF.7z. Else I can't do it. I can't upload, I'm getting a sever error and I don't run the space nor can ahold of who does. I've been stuck since last year. Like I can get away with small files but it takes me a long time. This one is over 400 mb, estimated time is three hours, between looped crashed and restarts I'd have to shut off everyone's internet for three days. If you can manage to get ahold of catwhowalks, I can't seem to.

SA:  Yeah. I couldn't get him either. That's why I made a new Museum. I was having the same issue with uploading. He told me at the time that the host had been bought and some things had changed, but he never got back with specifics or how to work with it.
Unfortunately I haven't found the mapping tutorial. I did find some mod making tutorials he sent me and will try to get a tutorial page added to the museum.
I'm currently working out of town during the week, so I'm limited as to how much I can get done, but I hope to work on the site as I can.

WyldFyre: That's something at least for me to work with. No expectations of him of course, he's an angel for all he's done already. I gave some thought about hosting files offsite, pages are simple enough to upload, well after a few tries. It's just finding a storage host that isn't a pain or just subject to vanish of course. I'm still not sure it's not actually my connection. This started when I moved to the lake house where the internet, well it's real bad dial-up. When I was in the desert in until April 2021 things worked fine. And else, expectations speaking of none towards you from me. I think we're all tied up one way another these days.

*edit: I had some time and messed with my FTP and "may" have figured it out. I remembered he said something about the new host to me in an email so I tracked that email down and entered some different stuff and it seems to be working for now. If you're still having issues feel free to PM me, I figure we don't our site codes and stuff out in the public but I'll show what I have. I believe the changes where in the host name, "maybe" port number and in my case at least there were a bunch of characters added before my old username if this sounds like a thing.

*edit 05/24:
Here's the PDF zip. This should have worked but I suppose this will be as good a test as any.
jackhart1967: Sorry I looked and high and low for that tutorial. CB did pack it so it is in a file just like this named "HTML" instead of PDF and on a Mediafire page. Where that exact page is though I couldn't find it.

Above link is broken now for the reason of my site moving. It "should" be somewhere by CB. I've been slowly going through his old Mediafire links. I don't know where his root directory is to fast track it so I have manually go through his posts. At any rate in the process I found a copy of that map tutorial (JoeMama's) he kept online. It is in docx format. You can just open with Word of course though. There wasn't any images attached to that thread and it appears to load exactly as the thread looked.
