Hey everyone, I've been absent from FF for over 10 years.  Just now getting back in.  I've ordered the CDs for FFv3R, but I have a question I used to know the answer to:

Can I use my old FF meshes and skins in FFv3R?

Thanks in advance!

Most of the older meshes have to be converted with the Nifconverter program. You can find it at Alex's Freedom Fortress in the  "Goodies" section:

http://www.alexff.com/index.php

There were a few that would not convert (Beyonder's "hair" variants, for instance), but most of those have been updated and FFv3R versions are available. There are newer meshes that will work with either game.

Anything you want or need just ask for in the Requests forum and someone will be glad to help you.

Indeed, we've got a plethora of toys that will work in  :ffvstr: these days, so you're sitting pretty.  Welcome back to the community, man!

Most  :ff: meshes can also work in  :ffvstr: natively without conversion, except for those with any sort of fx (human torch's flames, for example).

Exactly. Unless someone has  better idea, I would say to try them in CTool and see if they work, and if so, great.
