fx.dat merging question

Okay, so I have a simple yet probably dumb question: if I merge two fx.dats in ffedit, will my individually-installed custom fx need to be reinstalled?

Nah, nothing should be overwritten and you should see your custom fx unless there are naming collisions (two fx have the same name).
