Freedom Force 1 Mod for FFVT3R

Im playing the mod found on Alex's freedom fortress that lets you play the  plot on  , but in the second level where you first meet mentor, and you need him to interrogate the thug it doesnt allow you to. The normal hand cursor, is replaced by his attack cursor, and the thug being disoriented he cant even attack him. So essentially im stuck. Any thoughts?
