With Tomato doing csa skins I wanted to try sir grundy as even though hes not much different I just liked him.
Now ive only ever really skinned FF meshes so this was a challenge as I wasn't sure were the parts were but overall im very happy with it.


He does have coat tails which you cant see.

Plus a few changes.

I love your stuff, but when I downloaded Grundy, he was the Hulk and Sir Grundy was The Hulk in a tophat.  Is it possible you posted the wrong files.  Thanks for all the skins and meshes.  Red Bee has a lot of company in the game now.

I?ve just checked them and the files are correct? I think my stuff is for ffvs3rd and might have issues if used in the first game. Have you checked through the skins when creating the character? That might fix the issue as it might just be the standard that?s causing trouble.   

It might be as it?s using dds files which I don?t think ff can read.

I think the solution is simpler than that. RB, if you're in  you can select different skins on the model by clicking the arrows on either side of the model.  tends to be weird with standard skins, so a lot of us will put the standard as a wireframe or whatever, and put the actual main skin separately.

Edit: no I'm wrong. There's two copies of body_d in the zip, one in tga format, the other in dds. The dds file needs to be deleted, it's causing the wrong skin to load.

Thanks to both of you. I only modded with Freedom Force in the past. I did play about half of the Third Reich game before I got stuck looking for a key.  I've added about 40 customs and had fun statting them, but I'm still learning or relearning a lot.  Should I release both the Extras.DDS files?  Also the only portrait I'm seeing is a .Targ file.

I hate to be THAT guy, but I just downloaded the fixed Grundy and when I gave him his stats and on the homepage he was Grundy.  When I got him into the game, he was The Hulk again.

I often get this issue when I have characters with hero templates where the character.nif folder has more than one associated skin. In game will always only choose the standard skin. If it is an enemy template it works fine. Only workaround I know so far is to create a seperate folder with the character.nif and only have the one required skin associated as standard.

If you are playing  then you need the .dds files for the skin to work properly in game, delete or convert the .tga files.
If you are playing  then i think is the opposite.

Sounds like your alternative skin folders do not have the necessary files with the correct name and format. Check that the other folders have the same files as in the standard folder, with the same name and format. When the skin folders do not have the correct files, then the game chooses the standard skin by default.
