VPMAX and FFX 3

Been a long time. Glad to see this forum and FF is still hanging around.

One question. Are there still compatibility issues with VPMAX and FFX? This is my third go around completely installing the game anew, and I seem to remember having to  merge dats or something last time, and maybe losing created chars or something.
