Limited as it is, what can and cannot be done in MP scripting?

Hello, I was wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction as to information regarding  :ffvstr: scripting for multiplayer, from what I remember it is significantly more limited than single player scripting.

Concerning multiplayer, a few of my friends and I are interested in fine tuning the each of our games to suit online/lan play, what types of modifications can and cannot be done. (ie: minimum range distance, mass  and values in calculations with mass, values/multipliers in prestige calculation for hero generation)
