Bravoman: How did we get up here anyway? I don't even remember him capturing us.

Alphaman: I'd wager the shows writers wanted to start this episode off mid-adventure.  It's a writing technique called 'in medias res'.

Bravoman: In-mind-wha-wha?

Alphaman: I believe it's latin for "skip the boring parts".

Has anyone else seen this yet?

Bravoman a web-only animated series based on (I think) a video game, starring Rob Paulsen as the title character and Alpha the robot (whose voice is patterned after George Takei) and has a "Freakazoid" vibe to it.   (Seriously, they got Randy Rogel of Animaniacs/Tiny Toons/Freakazoid fame to do the title theme music.)

http://www.youtube.com/user/ShiftyLookNBGI for the Channel with all the episodes.  I suggest watching them in order, they're only about 5 minutes each.

(BTW: among other references look for the Warner Water Tower in Episode 4, you can't miss it  )

(PS: Oh no, which one is the REAL Bravoman!?!"  )

Watched the first episode, and it is funny.  Apparently the game was a parody of Toku shows like Super Sentai, which I happen to have been watching recently, so I should enjoy it.  The cartoon seems to be going from a more American style superhero parody angle, although there's enough similarity that it may work for both.

I'd say most of the humor style is very Western despite the subtitles being in (I'm guessing) Japanese.

I found Episode 2 the weakest of the lot, but things pick up again with episode 4 (introduces Anti-Bravoman).  Episode 5 and 6 are well worth a watch (and yes, the title characters in ep 6 DO eventually appear).

Well, there are loads of Super Sentia jokes and references still in there; you just don't notice them if you don't know the reference material.
