NEW League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?

this has been posted many moons ago but wanted to give it another try. i love the movie and the idea of a team comprised of old classic fictional characters appeals to me. who would a new team consist of ? if a team were established then maybe someone with interest could bring them to life. maybe the doctor from the H.G Wells book the Time Machine could travel in time to collect this new team. he could be made using inks Prof. X and the floating chair mesh. ive got a few characters in mind but more interested in the minds of others!

I've thought about this.  It sorta' depends on what bounds you want to place on membership.  I've thought that a pulp era team would be fun, but if time travel is involved you could just as easily do the heroes of epics or some other random combination.  You could have Achilles, Ulysses, Gilgamesh, Aeneas, Beowulf, and Roland facing down threats just as easily as Billy the Kid, Davey Crockett, and a number of other dime novel heroes.

I always thought something like a superhero team of tall tales characters with Pecos Bill, Davy Crocket and Paul Bunyan would be pretty interesting.
