Male Thug '70s

Alright folks, what am I looking for now?

Well, I was wondering if anybody wanted to do a massively awesome hex? One that includes switchblades, handguns, shotguns, uzis, machine guns, chains if you can get them... but also has slightly flared pants, a couple different hairstyles (afro, wings, whatever else is '70s), a wide collar, a turtle neck collar, a suit jacket, and big aviator sunglasses. It'd be great if those were all alpha enabled too.

If anybody wants to do that, that'd be great. If not, I can try it myself, but wouldn't mind some parts suggestions.

Anyhow, this is what I am going for:

if i have some time this weekend i'll take a crack. I alrready had a few thug versatile skopes made using the randy ripoff mesh. another few couldn't hurt.

maybe it would be best to use Gni's mesh as the base. that allows for guns and a baseball bat or knife.
If you want i could do a baseball bat or knife fighter dedicated mesh too.

BTW, those hexes would be nice in case anybody wanted to make a Jack Carter skin from Get Carter. If theres one thing

needs more of, its a vintage British gangster played by Michael Caine. Ask anybody, theyll tell you.

I'm pretty sure Tommyboy's versatile male meshes have 70's hair-dos, big collars, flared pant legs and maybe even an afro (and of course, guns and knives, etc...).

You know, that's true. The KF's might need a bit of skoping to get the right "thug" feel, and also the .nif would have to be shrunk a bit in height, but that's the kind of thing I could do myself. That would work. Anyone want to throw a TF 70's thug skope together?

This is the beast I could do, BG...Tommyboy's versatile mesh has glasses (square and round), but not really anything that looks like aviators. The gun animations aren't working correctly, either (the gun is flying all over the place, instead of being in his hand...I may be able to fix it, but I'm not sure). The skin is just Tom's El Diablo skin that came with the versatile_linked mesh.

That actually doesnt look too bad. The hair on the second one is especially funky.

I started hearing "Im Your Boogie Man" in my head when I clicked on the thread...

Those are awesome, Dana! I love the first one...he already looks so wonderfully 70's! We'll need to overcome the weapons issue one way or another. If you have trouble with it, try posting in the hexing section. Someone around here should be able to work this out.

Is anyone interested in skinning these guys. I'd like something similar to what Unko proposed above. I'll need these guys to fit in with the standard Irrational skins and meshes relatively well.

Unko and Benton, I fixed the flying gun issue (It's just in his hand all the time...I apologize that I couldn't fix it completely). I changed the first guy to have a knife (if that's okay). I would probably skin them myself, but I'm not sure you'd be happy with them...I could give it a try though.

Awesome Dana, glad you were able to fix that. I actually was thinking that I'd really like it to stay in his hand, so that totally works for me. Yeah, a knife for the other guy is perfect. I'd like to see a shotgun, a knife, and maybe a sub-machinegun of some type, in terms of weapons. As for the skin, my main concern is for these guys to fit in with the Irrational skins, but I'd love to see your take on them, man.

Those are some really fantastic skopes and skins, Dana. You really are improving as a skinner, man.

They are all kinds of 70's glory. I LOVE the second one. He's just too awesome! Do you think it would be possible to get a few variant colors of each thug type? Like, just different colored shirts and such, like the Irrational thugs?

The second one is the best.

Here's more fuel to add to the fire: With that totally amazing mustache, we could finally get skins made of the Beastie Boys from Sabotage. Just think about THAT for a while.

Yes...I've made a standard skin and one alternate for each.
