Spoiler
Claire can only heal others through injections of blood, a fact that was mentioned just a few episodes ago.

It was also established at the end of last season that Peter can only absorb one of Sylar's powers at a time, although he seems to be able to choose which one.  Last time he got shapeshifting, this time flight.

Spoiler
Ah yes I forgot that. So yeah Peter's current power is flight.
Heroes gets kinda confusing sometimes.

Shoot, I misread the question. I though you were asking if Sylar had self-healing instead of healing others. But yeah, I suppose his blood would heal people now too, I guess.

And Peter is still the dumbest character on Heroes. Sheesh. BTW, how many times did Peter touch Sylar/Nathan in the last episode?
Long live Slaanesh, Prince of Pain!!!

Trelau

I think peter's power is not clear to everybody: he actually has to wish to copy the power of someone he's touching, or it won't work. The exception being, the first time he touches them.
Maybe i would be more accurate to say that he has to willingly block the copy or it will occur. So it doesn't matter how much time he touched sylar/nathan in last episode, if he doesn't want to take one of his power he won't. I though last episode was rather good (meaning above average in comparison to the rest of the seaon so far) and peter acted...well, in a way that made mostly sense (refusing to cope with death of brother, taking the most useful power for a task, going through the 5 step of grief and finishing by accepting the death of his brother). Peter never was my favorite character, but he's still infinitly better than claire...

So....Rene's powers have to be activated or
Spoiler
is it just because Peter got them that he had to activate them before fighting with Sylar?

In the past, allied supers have used their powers around him, so apparently those powers can be used selectively.

Spoiler
In this case, Peter needed the element of surprise, so it makes sense that he wouldn't use the jamming at first.  Whether this means the jamming has to be actived, or that it is normally active but can be turned off, it is impossible to say.  His comic origin would indicate the later, but its canon status is unknown.

i tend to think that rene's powers have to be turned off or they're active all the time.
i don't know i you remember season 3, but when hiro and daphne (the speedster) where fightng over...i don't remember, a briefcase full of money perhaps? they crossed rene's path. he was unaware of their presence but their powers were jammed.
later that season, when rene, peter and nathan went after rene's brother (impenetrable skin), nathan who was standong right next to him was able to take flight to throw himself in the fight. So even if it's not "official", that plus the comicbook origin says that his jamming is definitely passive, but he can learn to turn it off at will.

Decent season. Wish Ray Park had more of a role. Like the carnival theme and the guy from Prison Break.

Even though  watch every Heroes episode, i must admitt i feel relieved.
We can always rewatch season 1 again and again to wash away the memories of what followed.

Lets face it TV is dead!  It's been around for nearly 100 years and it's about time we have outgrown it.  The Internet rules!....for now

All I can hope for is a proper TV movie to wrap up the loose ends. If they do that, I'll be OK with the series ending, especially with the new Incredibles-esque show on ABC with Michael Chiklis:

No Ordinary Family

Whooooooa!
Unless you mean that actually watching TV on the internet is better (but from context, I don't think , I'm going to have to disagree.
Maybe non-comedy TV is dead AFTER this season since Lost ends, they canceled FlashForward (ffs!), and House is just terrible. But Lost, the greatest non-comedy show of all time is still on for 3 more episodes. Community and How I Met Your Mother are in the top 10 funniest shows ever. I admit, TV is in a bad way, but there's something to be said for watching things with some actual production value vs. everything on the internet.
I apologize in advance for everything I say on here. I regret it immediately after clicking post.

Trelau

I may be wrong, but i think the "tv is dead! internet rules!" speech is a joke-reference to Dr Horrible Sing Along Blog speech at the Emmys

I lost interest mid second season and for some reason this still makes me sad.

end of the second season killed it for me.  but I tried to get into the third season and the whole villains storyarc.  but that died by the end of the third season when they killed the one decent character they had introduced during the third season for no obvious reason.

I can't say I am unhappy to see the show go.

thanoson

Ok, guess I'm the only one that liked the show? It was fun to see most of the characters week after week. Yes, most of them did incredibly stupid things; Peter, Mohinder, Claire) but I enjoyed it still. If just to say, my god Mohinder, for a smart guy you sure are dumb. However, anything with Syler in it was golden. I will miss the show.

I liked the show too, but it's time has probably come.  They are saying it's likely to get a miniseries or movie to wrap things up.

Pretty much this. It had its faults, it had its really good moments. But things...yeah. I thought the ending so far was pretty good. Open-ended, yes, but things were finally getting to the "right point" to reveal that supers existed in the world. I liked that idea.

Soooo, I know Heroes is done with and has dealt with its fair share of lawsuits by now, but this latest one may just take the cake as being the most amusing: http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/2010/05/see-carnival-of-souls-comparisons-from-60-million-heroes-lawsuit/

When I saw this link, I literally expected it to be from one of the big three comic companies... not this.

QuoteCarnival Comics has provided Robot 6 with a copy of Jazan Wild's $60-million lawsuit against NBC and Heroes  creator Tim Kring, complete with color images detailing alleged similarities between the TV series and the comic Carnival of Souls.

The lawsuit, filed May 13 in Los Angeles federal court, alleges that the traveling carnival featured prominently in the fourth season of Heroes is "virtually identical" to the one depicted in Wild's 2005-2006 comic series.

Wild (aka Jason Barnes) wants to prevent NBC from rebroadcasting the season, and seeks compensatory and punitive damages for copyright infringement, intentional interference with prospective economic advantage, unfair competition and unjust enrichment.
