Hey guys. I've played the Freedom Force games for a while, but I only recently discovered Marvel Ultimate Alliance (currently playing through it). So, out of everyone here who is a fan of BOTH games... did you ever find yourself thinking what sort of team bonuses the :ff: characters would have?

For example, in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, there are bonuses for teams like "Classic Avengers", or "Femme Fatale", or "Agile Warriors". Which team bonuses would be in Freedom Force, and which squads would receive them?

Well, here's a makeshift list I came up with, pulling from all of the hero characters in both games, along with the villains Nuclear Winter, Shadow, Deja Vu, Lord Dominion, and Red Oktober. That comes out to 29 characters (Marvel Ultimate Alliance ranges from 23 to 33 playable characters).

Here are teams taken from the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance, including those in the XBox 360 packs:

Hello.

I am a fan of both games, though I prefer Freedom Force based on the more tactical gameplay.  I wish they could bring something like Freedom Force to the XBOX or Playstation.  BTW have you tried Justice League Heroes (JLH) for the original XBOX?  That was one of the rare 720p games and I like the in-game graphics better than MUA.  MUA cutscenes were far superior though.  The gameplay is similar and the speed of flyers is a little too slow.  But if you like MUA I think you may like JLH.

Agreed. JLH is very good, the art is inferior, but the gameplay is better (we don't have those "hit the pillars x times to defeat villains" so used in MUA).
I find many similarities between MUA and FF, but like the latter better, because we can customize the heroes (i like mix Marvel, DC and other characters) and have more play options (Danger Room is great!). Anyway would be great if we could make specific teams and get team bonus in FF, like MUA.

Actually, I think that could be accomplished pretty easily as an FFX plugin.
Hmmmm....

The only three things that JLH did wrong.

2 Heroes only.

No Online play.

Forced Hero selection for 90 percent of the game.

It did everything else way better than MUA, but unfortunately, those three things overall caused it to "fail".
